It's only this way because ADC are too strong. Too much value in the adc class, which requires a heavy frontline the protect them. Since ADC provide most of their team's damage, you don't really need a second/third damage dealer to win a teamfight. If ADC damage gets toned down, the value of fighters, mages and assassin will go up.

This effect is also amplified by the fact that a lot of fighters struggle without a proper keystone, but a new one should be introduced in 8.6 that will probably give them a massive boost.

a meta where braindead tristanas crit u for 1200 damage form absurd range with one auto and has 2 forms of self peeling despite u have built 2 armor items yeah no thnxs, ill take the tnak meta where thing slike postion and proper engages matter not just who healed and shielded one player better

But that still happens in this meta lmfao. Trist is always good during tank meta. ADC are almost always the cause of tank metas because they are the only damage dealers allowed to still do heavy damage to everyone in the game.

'Trist is always good during tank meta.' Did you play in season 7 when courage of the colossus was super op? Tristana was the worst ADC at that time.
