Morde is #1 in NA (by platinum ranked win rate) and #94 in Brazil (by platinum ranked win rate)

I made a post on Reddit detailing why the 65% win rate being claimed for Morde was BS, and had it confirmed by Phreak, Riot Jules, and a Champion.gg dev, but I was still wondering why I was seeing a large difference in win rates on various statistics sites.

I finally figured it out; his win rate varies dramatically by region, and some site's statistics were based off global win rates, while other were based off NA. His global win rate (in all of ranked) is around 51%, while in NA its 53%.

** in platinum ranked games Morde's win rate is #3 in NA (~55%) but only #98 in Brazil (~48%), or around #43 (~51%) in the world as a whole.** None of the other Juggernauts see much disparity between regions; they are all performing well globally. Why is this?

Look at him on LoLking on BR or NA, and OP.gg on BR and NA. (You will need to sort by ranked on OP.gg if you want to see his performance in plat.) Yes, his win rate varies over 7% between regions, and even more between different tiers of play.

This is a great point of discussion, I'd love to here what other people think. Are American's just bad at dealing with non-meta picks, are they better at playing non-meta picks, is our meta just better for him, some combination of these or something else entirely?

Win rates are bullshit, unless if they are winning more than 60% of their games.

Thresh Yep!

Its a pretty good metric, so as long as you take play rate and sample size into account.
