Can we make it so JG isnt the only thing that matters in the early game?

Im honestly beyond sick of losing games in high diamond because of 1 player difference.

You can win with a bad adc

You can win with a bad support

You can win with a bad top laner

You can still win with a bad mid (sgnificantly harder though)

You basically cannot win with a bad jungler though (i win like what, 1 game out of 20 when i get a bad jungler? the game basically just ends 10 minutes in)

I have had countless games where its like, top winning the 1v1 matchup, mid even, and bot winning the 2v2, then 10 minutes and ganks later, every lane is now losing because we have an auto fill jungler (whos either afk farming or feeding every lane) and theirs isnt, and by 20 we are FFing what should be an easy game because we got a auto fill jungler instead of auto fill any other lane.

Its too much game impact in the early game for a single player, when the game is supposed to be a team game

Jungle is an earlygame based role. You can win with shitty jungles if the entire rest of your team are passable at the game and stall till later, much like how you can win with a shite midlane or shite ADC if you push your lead early.

Trust me. I have about 600 games of jungling and fighting enemy jungles. I’ve been shitty, I've been good, I've been many ways between. I’ve been carried when the enemy jungler is good and I’m sleep deprived or off my game. I’ve carried when my teams been crap.

If you’re talking about stuff like graves or jax, then yeah they have too much power, but I’ve never been like “yeah god damn jungle is literally THE ROLE that makes the game”

I would agree IF Riot hadn't nerf'ed/removed all stall mechanics. Turrets are shit, vision is next to non-existent, items are OP, minions heavily favor the team that's ahead and neutral objectives often provide too much power. This was all done INTENTIONALLY to make games faster, thus making stalling next to impossible unless your opponents suck. And again, this is BY DESIGN.

Stall is still possible, but not the 60 minutes stall. Also if you want to stall a game, you need to dedicate a teamcomp to it. Like in the spring, when Jin Air picked Sivir+Azir and made sieges useless.

Stalling is weaker than back in the days, but it isn't impossible

You experience of low elo dosnt matter. He talk for high elo (when players know how to play).

Assuming ennemy jungler isnt good. A good jungler win most of his games.

Gold and below makes up about 70-80% of the playerbase. I understand that @OP was talking about diamond, but for the majority, you're talking out the ass.

Also, i'd like to point out that you screaming about a lack of experience with the game because i'm in gold when you are also in gold

does your opinion become more valid? it's still an opinion from a gold elo player, so i dont see why it should be more valid than mine.

frankly the idea of rank-based arguments is a bunch of crap, but if you want to try and bring a gun to a knife fight then i will too.

I dont think you understand theres no "stalling"

Towers are weak, and when every lane snowballs (because of the better jungler) the game just straight up ends, theres no "stall until 40 mins then you can outcarry the jungle", that only works in low elo where ppl in general dont know how to end a game so every game lasts atleast 30 minutes unless theres rage quiters/afks.

In diamond and above a disparity in the jungle matchup will get every lane into a snowballed state and the other team will basically open mid 15 mins in, its way too much influence on the game for a single player on a 5v5 team game, no other role/position can do this.

Im pretty sure in order to stall you need to have a dedicated teamcomp. Sivir, Azir, Anivia, other guys with insane waveclear. I can imagine comps with Yasuo mid and Kai'sa bot are unable to stall, but stall is possible, just not as easy as before.

Let's be honest, stalls like Jin Air vs SKT game were total bullshit. Glad stalls are easier to break.

and then you remember jungle has smite which makes them not only relevant, but vital members of the team, when late-game roles around.

shockingly, the role who's 2 jobs to fill (early pressure and/or lategame objectives) do the 2 roles they're supposed to do

i could counter this with an equal strawman: "Wow, then you remember that ADCs have permanent DPS which makes them not only relevant, but vital members of the team, when late-game rolls around" "Wow, then you remember that supports can protect people or engage which makes them not only relevant, but vital members of the team, when lategame rolls around" "Wow, then you remember that top is a frontline which makes them not only-"

you get the picture

If you have a boosted ape of a jungler, then you dont try to go for big objectives. you go for picks, and you go to try and get fights when the enemy try to do stuff like baron. if you have a god teir jungle and a boosted as shite team, that game is going to be far more difficult, but deservingly so because it's a one vs five type of scenario

I reiterate - Jungle is a fairly vital role. I'm not saying that it's not i'm saying however that although jungle is important, so are every other role in the game.

Let me show you a summarized example.

https://gyazo.com/ea5314df12e30dbc7eee34a8952f1903

In this game, every member of my team was cohesive and good. i did the most damage obviously, being rhaast-form kayn into a team of all tanks, but if we removed the max%health damage factor i'd say i was straightup on-par with the rest of my team. the enemy misplayed, the jungle was equal to me but i got the lead and her champion is one that can fall off hard

https://gyazo.com/06ea07b9f95b5d8f5ec91aaef5ff3980

In this game, i carried my ass off but the other 4 mates weren't any good. the only person who needed to die (lucian) so that i could 1v4 and win wasn't being eliminated by jax, fizz, or jhin. i could kill him 2 on 1, but then the other 4 members of their team would kill me. i could kill 4 of them, but then lucian would the rest of us. it was a predicament. as you can see, a roughly equally fed enemy ADC is still pretty fucking valuble. again, not significantly more valuble than jungle, but rather only a smidge. pretty much equal if we're calling it there.

https://gyazo.com/e079e37ffbfe7811274facbe9cd52567

Finally, a game where i play like a fucking chimpanzee. Of course, they had the innate advantage at picking Graves that game, but i definitely misplayed a lot. GUESS WHAT? Although the enemy champ had about 150%~ the skill i displayed during that game, they got fucking w r ec k e d guess why? fucking x e r a t h s u p p o r t, a z i r, m i s s f o r t u n e all of them played adequately. we won through having a team that was slightly better than the enemy (aside from the jungle matchup)

and guess what

graves, a busted-as-fuck jungle hypercarry couldnt carry the game at all.

Essentially, jungle is a very valuble role, sure, but you're WAY overselling it and bullshitting about how 1V9 CARRY OMFG LOOK 10000 AP ONESHOT!!1!

y'know, I'mma take a hard pass at analyzing this and just pointing out that your Gold 5 games are not indicative of the role's actual strength, and plenty of low elos sell the role as weak or not-that-influential when high elo jgs consistently outlevel and outpressure their solo laners with little to no effort.

Idk whats more stupid, the fact that they did that or the fact that they dont even aknowledge that their changes were terrible and that jungle is even more broken than ever now.

AirKingNeo2 votes

honestly, junglers ganking at level 3 wouldn't be so bad if early death wasn't so punishing, ganks were more avoidable and preventable, and if kills with assists didn't give more total gold than a solo kill.

The game has been like this since season 5 or 6. But it's unbearable right now how dominant the jungle is.

OtterlyLost3 votes

Can they make it so mid and jungle don't have all of the agency? Its frustrating and exhausting that these two roles, in a five man game, hold the lion's share of agency in the game. It becomes significantly harder to win a game if your mid or jungle is useless. You can scrape by with a behind top laner or a behind ADC and Support will be useful no matter what because they're usually just utility anyway. But Mid and Jungle being behind is an auto lose every game.

Automated Riven2 votes

Almost as if what people have been saying all year. (lower gold/exp and shorter respawn times in the jungle) would be a good change.

Tryhardamere2 votes

As a jungler main, I agree with the statement that the role is overpowered in playing an effect on the game. If I lose the jungle, it's a loss 90% of the time. If I win the jungle, it's a win 80% o f the time. The deviation tends to result from how good the other laners are at their lanes. But an overwhelming majority of my games share the same fate that I do: A win if I do well, and a loss if I do not.

That being said, I will also say that my success in the jungle can also hinge on how well my laners react to things that happen in the jungle: Assisting with an invasion or assisting when I'm being invaded. The team that responds tends to be the team that wins.

Divine 0mega2 votes

Its not just Diamond bro, Plat shitter here and pretty much every game, and i mean every game i play is determined by the jungler. My lead in lane or pressure is always insignificant if the enemy jungler is ahead or just slightly better than mine. I mean jg's have hard early game impact which is what league is about these days. with all the changes they have made stalling isn't an option, even in pro play. I think red smite is also partly to blame, do to being even with a jg who has it gaurantees they out duel you. I'm no great player by any means but even assassin junglers all build it. Blue smite is useless unless you are Hecarim who gains a damage buff from his passive. Adc's were much needed to kill tanks who were considered strong but with conquer and crit being subpar in general hard carry bruisers are more effective.

Bears Dont Care1 votes

I wouldnt say that junglers are the only role that matters, but they do have the most influence because their presence immediately changes the game in their allies favor.

The reason you cannot win with a bad jungler is because when you fall behind as a jungler, it becomes extremely difficult to come back.

Kanzaki Ranko1 votes

The best part about this is that all junglers I see, in games and streamers, are all entitled, whiny, and all pretend that their role is weak while always blaming their team for losses

I just hate this stupid role and its players lol

If jungle was strong or overpowering I would agree.

Hmm another anti-jungle post and familiar posters in them, makes me suspicious that someone is using alt-accounts.

You are right partly , junglers got really high pressure , of course there are times when they get bad teams no matter how they gank enemies , when enemies are better it's over , nothing can be done for junglers However , generally junglers got really a huge impact on the game more than any other lane ,especially that at later levels Towers don't matter so they just dive you , and rule " keep warding " doesn't apply always , had times I got dove by Nocture , had times where Hecarim came from raptors side and oushed me out of towers , had time Lee passing by and Hit a random Q then dove me and Flash ult out of tower range , had time even Against Maokai Jungle who decided to dive me and tank a lot of tower hits and leaves alive , had times even Kayn in early dives me then before killing him from tower hits he presses R , had times getting dove by WW without his Ult , Hell even Graves is diving a lot lately

but don't forget that junglers are also important later , you don't know how many times I lost games because my jungle missed smite and the Baron got stolen by Janna Q , Lucian W , this happens a lot , even I had a time I stole Baron with Rakan Q lol ,
