Is this just me?
I get on here and check out the new challenge. "First blood, first tower and herald?" I ask myself. "Simple! I'll just go Darius Top and crush everyone!!"
So I go Darius top. Next thing I know, there's a Teemo top, as well - an ally Teemo, who instalocked on me. I held my ground and got him to back off ten minutes in.
I managed to get first blood by roaming mid in the first four minutes, and I managed to solo Herald, since my jungler was too damn incompetent to do anything, but then my feeding bot lane and Teemo started to AFK in the enemy JG for some reason, and ultimately lost first tower right as I was about to take mine.
Then they all continued feeding, and we lost. I got an S, they all fed, and we lost.
Now, I'm pissed, and when someone instalocks my position in the next game, I decide to screw around and go troll Singed Support. My team absolutely crushed the enemy, and I got the challenge.
So when I do amazing, my team feeds. When I don't try at all, my team carries. In the THOUSANDS of games I've played, there has never been an instance of both me and my four teammates doing well synchronously.
Is this what happens to everyone? Is this why trolls exist in the first place? Because no matter what you do, you're destined to go with the flow, no matter how hard or how little you try? Because I'm tempted to just do nothing but screw around in these games, since it's the only possible way to have fun anymore. There's nothing satisfying about trying your hardest just to have your incentive ripped away from you by absolute cretins, nor is there any amount of joy other than a sigh of relief to get camped into obscurity, just for your team to do all the heavy lifting. The off-meta lifestyle of the first few seasons is what breathed life into this game and gave people a reason to enjoy it! Now all we have are strict rules, harsh punishments, and Victorious Graves to look forward to.
