Who will be the new broken support top?

With the changes to Sona and Soraka hopefully pushing them out of the top lane, who do you think will take their place? Will it be Bard with his scaling auto attack "fun", and insane mana regen via passive? Will it be Nami with her poke/heal ability that also grants her 60 movement speed when it bounces? Will Yuumi come out of nowhere and take the top lane by storm? Maybe Senna can fill 3 roles now; ADC, Support, and Top lane.

And then the fun follow up, will Riot also hit these champions with "changes" to force them out of the lane? Will those changes dumpster their intended roles as well?

maybe Lulu

it has been a while and now and then she creeps into top lane because her abilities are impossible to fight for some champions.

Whatever support it is they need to be ranged, have cc, and some kind of escape. I'd say lulu but her escape move makes her choose between speeding herself up or ccing the target.

All 4 of those, Lulu & I think Morgana too are all very likely. Hell, I'm not ruling out Janna, Zyra or somebody else even.

Who it is doesn't matter, because there will be somebody & it will further prove the well-known fact that Top is a throwaway lane. It's irrelevant & gutting Soraka and a dead horse Sona will have been completely unjustified.

The real question is, if or when Rito does fix top lane, will they revert the unjustified nerfs? Spoiler: No

Braum, Leona, Tahm and Nautilus very well may see top lane play after the Sunfire changes go through. Leona with Omnirune thingy could very well be something, and having a cheap but effective build i think is going to open the lane up for her. Sunfire+Gauntlet in theory, should be VERY efficient on her.

Janna , between passive, W and E, she can harras pretty nasty vs melees 1v1, her E can protect her plateings, and she has high ms for roaming paired with great CC and scales really well into teamfights with oth support and AP heavy builts. On AP builts, her Q also becomes some potent longranged waveclear. Zilean might also make a return, greate waveclear for a support, massive speedbuff and a free GA for whoever needs it in a given fight.

If we're talking enchanters, Lulu is always hiding in the wings. Nami could also be a solid choice, but I doubt it. Solo Nami probably isn't straight-forward enough for the common player base to pick up without some level of pro-play success. Just look at how long Soraka and Sona took to come out. Janna also has potential, but suffers the same problem. Yuumi.... I haven't played Rift since she came out, so it;s hard to judge, But based on what I've seen so far (a few ARAMs), she's way to unsafe to survive, even top, solo. An errant ignite can almost kill her.

if enchanters keep getting played top karma or yuumi

i doubt yuumi will see daylight due to how boring she is to play in a solo lane but tilteralla already showed that the champion functions in plat+ top lane
