went 7/3 in my placements.

I'm a support main, and in the middle of my placements. Ended last season S3, but if what Im seeing on the boards is any indication, I'm just gonna get reset to bronze, regardless of how well I do. Wish I could just not waste my time, skip placements, and start climbing.

yeah i had the mindset

"Get through placements, repair the damage over the next year."

kept me a positive mindset. One of my losses were due to an afk. another was due to an "AP MID MF" that repeatedly stated "ITS SO OP BRO" and ended like 1-18.

that's very odd. Ending S4 100 LP would generally indicate your MMR was where it was supposed to be.

Meaning the soft reset would have brought you up slightly / kept you about the same and then going positive in promos would just raise it more.

I can tell you it's supposed to be your MMR +1200/2. Then placement matches count for roughly 2x as many points as regular matches meaning +/- 40 points per game.

So ideally 1200 MMR is right about Silver 5 I believe (the midpoint). Meaning you would have been roughly, 1250+1200/2 = 1225 putting you about silver 4-5 before placements. Then you should have gone UP in your placements.

This is all based off your "hidden" MMR btw and assuming it was where you were actually ranked.
