Your teammates expect you to accomplish impossible feats?

This tends to happen to me from time to time... I know how to avoid feeding my opponent in lane; however, I cannot control if my opponent leaves lane and gets fed elsewhere (of course I ping, I'm not an idiot). Then, suddenly, laning phase is over and my teammates are harassing me because I didn't "stun" or "do anything" or "do enough damage" or whatever it may be. Thing is, I did try, but the enemy team is ahead and I can only do what my champion can do... It seems they expect me to do something my champion cannot do... Exactly what am I supposed to say to teammates harassing me because I cannot accomplish the impossible?

Honestly you sound like your not very good at the game. Simply pinging your enemy laner mia isn't enough. Your letting it be a possible 3vs1 top or 4vs2 bottom (if your mid lane let's say). Making your other lanes deal with those odds means you need to get a tower, follow the roam to help, or roam to the opposite lane to get a kill. Its not asking a lot to say hey your mid is camping bot lane can you take a tower or put pressure somewhere. Very few things are as infuriating as winning your lane bottom only to have 4 enemy members come down and your team is doing nothing but farming.

Pinging should be enough to avoid early ganks from mid lane. In a world where people know how to play anyway. Some mid laners are farmers more than roamers or lane pushers. Expecting them to roam or push a tower every time a Zed or Kat goes missing is asking for trouble. Other lanes ignoring pings is not on the pinger.

Even someone who isn't a "lane pusher" (though i can't think of anyone who doesn't have the ability to push a wave to the enemy turret during a roam" they should at least then go support the lane that gets roamed to. No matter what champion you play its always better to either to follow the roam, push the tower, or counter their roam in the other direction. You haven't given a single situation or champion that it would benefit the team to do nothing while your opposing laner roams.

I don't think you understood what I was saying. Some champs are heavy roamers, especially midlane assassins. Some champs are more farm-centric. If you expect a farming midlaner to roam whenever an assassin does or to follow the roam you are asking for trouble, both in terms of lost farm and in terms of kills given up. I mean it's actually a very common tactic of assassins to leave midlane and wait for the squishy mage to follow them so they can ambush them. Oftentimes when an assassin leaves midlane the best thing to do is to warn the other lanes and keep farming (and possibly push if you know where the enemy team is). It of course depends on the champ being played, but saying that all champs should counter-roam constantly is just silly. Unfortunatley in solo queue teammates often don't seem to understand that the low mobility burst mage is not going to be able to save them from the roaming assassin, especially early game, but thems the breaks.

I never said you should always follow.... some champs are better at roaming but that is when you push the lane and take the turret.... I never said always follow roams I just said always do something other than just farming.

I'm not going to chase down an enemy that can easily destroy me outside of lane. Otherwise, I will die like an imbecile. I usually ping three times to ensure my teammates know. I can't help if they don't listen or ward. Plus, if my opponent left, I try to push the lane hard enough to punish them for it.

Some people are just oblivious. I had a fiora jungle in my game the other day who was harassing me because I didn't have enough farm (I had the most in the game at that point) and saying things in all chat like, "this vayne gave you your win gg". I had no kills, but 5 assists from jungle ganks, and was mad because I didn't "ks the kill"

The only thing you can do is (and I know everyone says this) mute and forget. As soon as I forgot about it, my play went back to normal and we ended up winning the game.

Every single game I've played (ranked) in the last 3 nights have had someone very, very toxic people not just on my team, so I would suggest getting familiar with the mute. You can't go on tilt if you can't see their QQ right? :)

This has been happening to me a lot more since ive gone mid, im really good at stonewalling any siege through our outer turret ( i like heimer and orianna even jayce as my mains safe good farmers whatever) i farm good and dont give up much, even stop a lot of my opponents farm, especially with heimer.

I have yet to loose the outer turret before another lanes goes down, in favor for us or not, BUT i find the other lanes when they loose lane their opponent will come help mid push on me sometimes i might end up giving up kills but i can keep my turret up still mid to late game ...somehow i always hear the same old thing you know it you love it .... "look at your score your 0/2/ whatever you cant talk you cant blame you cant ask for help" <- had that exact thing happen playing against a direct counter i held my own and gave very little up save for a couple kills... i try telling them hey look its my counter and my tower is still up where is yours .. "shut up your 0/2 you fed them you didnt roam and help us you didnt do this or that" and more blame put on me and my lack of performance (cause they went ham a few times and maybe are 3/5 but deff with a losing K/D) but they feel their score means more somehow , like having kills means they did more then me... and then im to blame because of my low score ( meanwhile i always have a higher then most players in the match CS) its like i didnt do enough ... i did all i can withing the scope of my role and character but not putting up dunks means i didnt do as much as them despite them losing lane giving up roam ability not having items done... now comes the worst part when these losing games go mid to late and the other team can roam my cs will of course start to get shut down and i wont be able to finish items either .. so then i hear stuff like " look at their build report . you have 1 top tier item by 20 mins etc etc" cause they got ham kill gold they can forget solid cs and get items off the bounty exchange of bad players while my solid play goes unnoticed or accepted as a valid contribution to the team/game .... rant done thnx for letting me vent feels good to type it now i no longer give a shit lol i was about to delete this but figured why not post it and maybe other people can get some frustration out here too ! lol

oh and too long did not read - seems solid play and not having a kill fest to generate your gold, isnt seen as a valid contribution to a team/game at some levels, & not giving up your lane but still dieing is egregious and does nothing for the team apparently. you should do more do it all -win lane, cs higher, roam help the other lanes, get tons of kills oh and build every top tier item in your 6 slot inventory.. then your the best and can talk about others failures.... oh if you did that no one else would have failures youd win everytime and live in ELO UTOPIA thank god for the smart kids of LoL ...

Fair enough. Yes you should be doing more than just farming, even with heavy farming champs.

I know too many people who just let their enemy mid roam down and 4v2 bot and bitch at me for losing tower to have much sympathy for your situation.

Notice the phrase is "let their enemy roam". The thing is, there is nothing magical I can do to stop them. I could chase them into the jungle and die like an imbecile. I could also push the lane hard and punish them for it. I can't help if bot doesn't listen to pings or place down wards.

That is what the mute button is for. I have to laugh hard when a teammate blames me because he decided to go and try and play rambo with a 1v3-5. Then they report people and well.......................
