Remember when Ezreal was using the jungle item as an ADC?

It was nerfed so Ezreal would no longer build it if he wasn't jungling. Why is the same not being done for top laners and the new jungle item?

because riot is infamously inconsistent

any perfectly sound analogy that would normally be good anywhere else has absolutely no power here

disclaimer: no where did I say I support taking smite from top laners :l

When they nerfed jungle items in the past, the champions it hurt most were the junglers, because the only real way to stop laners from buying them was by giving lower stats. They're probably trying to avoid a repeat of that whole debacle, and they won't want to change anything that might hurt junglers more than laners.

What they need to do is make the PvP smites ( item 3706 item 3715 ) weaker in PvP scenarios than any other spell, because junglers will be able to use smite effectively anyways, but laners will be punished for basically only having one summoner spell.

I have never seen an Ez grab a jungle item other than me one time when I was building all stacking items... item 3718 item 3027 item 3003 item 3004 item 3041 item 3141

Wasn't long ago there was a build called Blue Ezreal, and basically he just built any item that was the color blue, including the elder lizard jungle item, which was his first item build most of the time.

blue ezreal is still a thing. muramana, ionian boots, bork, last whisper, essence reaver (if u want to keep muramana on at all times and too lazy to ration mana), trinity (which isnt blue) or gauntlet. You can interchange a few items to get mercurial scimitar or a defensive item.
