i think wukong will be reasonably strong in the preseason...

But i still want some QOL/consistency buffs to his kit.

What am i talking about? Garen's spin does damage more consistently than wukong ult. It also applies cleaver stacks faster because of this. I don't know why wukong's ultimate would be worse than garen's spin at this for basically no reason, but it is a bit disheartening that this has been the case for years and riot refuses to address it.

Another thing i don't like: item actives such as botrk and youmuus and randuins can be used while wukong is ulting, but tiamat and ravenous hydra cannot be used. This is pretty bad for wukong because it is hard to get in the hydra active between your attacks. In fact you wind up basically not using it in your main combo (e auto q ult) which makes this normally strong item on ad assassin/fighters suddenly not so good.

And if there is another thing i would do to wukong it would be to adjust his decoy's damage portion. Either remove it in favor of the above changes, or keep it and make the damage noticable, or make it slow enemies struck. 70 magic damage that scales with ap doesnt really belong on this champion.

Thats basically what i would like to see in the diver update for wukong. Would make playing him feel much better. Regardless of whether he gets these changes he'll probably start off pretty strong esp with items like edge of night and maw changes. Even duskblade might become a good pickup.

Is this a troll thread? Because Wukong's ult is an AoE knock up in addition to its damage.

It is an aoe knockup sure, but it's damage still ticks slower than garen's spin and the only reason people can come up with for this is that because it knocks people up it somehow shouldn't be consistent with other similar abilities. It's an ultimate; it is and should be stronger than a regular ability.

But it is stronger than Garen's spin because of the utility it provides. Not including how you can make it happen from seemingly nowhere with good use of his clone.

So its okay to punish champions for strengths that their kit suggests they aught to have

Welcome to Sion low ass base health.

provideing another example doesnt answer the question. sions base hp is low in the late levels not the lower levels so that you dont get out of control with your W passive too fast

It does less than Veigar W probably.

I'm a Wukong one trick and Wukong needs no buffs. The flat armor pen changes will be a slight nerf to him, but he will still be fine.

I repeat, no buffs needed at all.

Are you high, what are you smoking? Seriously? Did you get that kush from some far off civilization beyond our solar system? Garens spin does more damage than Wukong ult? You have cataracts. Contact the aliens from outer space that you received your weed from and ask them to repair your vision.

Lmao you didn't read. I didn't say the spin does more damage (although it does to the villain even without building any damage items), i was referring to the tick rate. It does damage at more frequent intervals than wukong's ult. I smoke dank weed fairly often and i can still properly read someone elses post without making a hot headed response.

I don't think that they want to animation cancel Wukong's ult. That's what Tiamat and Ravenous would do.

I would rather be able to press tiamat to cancel the ult immediately than have to cancel the ult and then press tiamat which takes about .5-1 second longer to do.

An ult isn't meant to be the end all be all of damage. Garen's E does more damage, but reduced versus many targets. It also can only really do more in villain.

Wukong's knocks up, has a larger aoe, he gets a speed boost, and unlike Garen's E, can have a huge impact on team fights. Garen's is literally just damage, exceling against single targets.

Wukong's ult is far better than Garen's E. Tick rate to stack BC is irrelevant to their strengths. If you ask me if I'd rather have a fast ticking, situationally better damaging ability or an ult that knocks up, consistently deals more damage, larger aoe, speeds up, and is a huge zone/fear factor in a team fight, well it's a no brainer.

Just try to see this from my perspective. I am wukong. I'm ulting towards an enemy with 100 hp left. I flash on them while spinning to kill them. I'm literally on top of their character for .4 seconds but my ult doesn't tick in that time and they flash and dash away.

I am furious. I could literally see an animation of my staff rip through their character 2-3 times but my ultimate doesnt hit them. This is not just a matter of ability consistency, its also a matter of the animation of the ability matching up with what the ability does. I seem to recall several red posts where this was a matter of utmost importance. Unless of course the champion is wukong then i guess it doesnt matter, right?

And that first scenario is unfortunate, but that is possible. You can't just pout and get angry at it. Just like a quick enough flash can dodge a garen flash E. Just easier to do against Wukong, but it still very rarely happen.

In terms of visuals and effects, garen spins far quicker than he ticks. But Wukong is harder to standardized due to reward of doing so. If someone is next to Garen or Wukong, they will be hit. However, if just at the very tip it makes contact, they do drastically different things. Garen's ticks a bit of damage. Wukong's knocks them up, ticks for damage, and effectively guarantees the rest of the ult.

The problem is that all that does is heavily reward Wukong for luck/brief contact. Unlike if Garen tips you, Wukong heavily punishes you. Plus, he gets increasing movement speed, so your chance of using that gap you're fretting about is even harder. Wukong has an amazing win rate currently so I have a feeling this isn't something he needs. It would warrant a nerf if implemented.

Wukong is fine. He isn't even weak right now. And why would his ult need to spin as fast or faster than Garen's spin. There is no reason. Other than the fact that both champions spin around the abilities are completely different. There is no need for them to be any more alike.

Wukong's ult is Wukong's ult and has nothing to do with Garen at all.

Well, if you really want to use Hydra active, it's not hard to include it in your main combo... E-aa-Q-Hydra-R, done. Titanic is a reset, so it's just as fast as Q, and Ravenous has pretty much no cast time so it's even faster.
