when in reality Lissandra, Leblanc, pre fizz, almost every assassin and most mobility champs can do it 10x easier and dont need to rely on skillshots.

Oh yeah, because Zed isn't going to just Ult swap away if he so much as smells counter play... Point and click CC? Press r. Skill shot CC? Press r. Protective ult/zhonya's/anything that actually poses a threat to Zed? Press r. And then beyond that, exhaust and flash both have longer CDs then Zeds ult does, and neither one actually prevents him from pressing r. It doesn't really matter how much counterplay Zed has if he's so well equipped to deal with all of his counter play.

I could go on. Point is, there's a ton of counterplay outside of CC for Zed.

Yeah, I kind of separated cc from Exhaust and flash because I STATED that exhaust and flash specifically were the big examples that had longer CDs... I dunno why you're repeating what I said as if it were a counter argument... Also, Kaylre really shouldn't be your first example /justnitpicking. QSS really doesn't deserve an example in general. I know you're going to say it's there for AD mids, but Hecarim and Zed don't need a counter to Zed. Yasuo needs more then a counter to Zed with his current nerfs, and Jayce is just all around fucked in that match up by the lack of a good counter build that doesn't involve stacking MR to counter an AD assassin.

Kayle's ult hardcounter's Zed's, wasting it - and it's on a shorter CD, castable on any team member. Please remind me why that shouldn't be a first example?

Because Kayle has a rough time in general... The nerfs to AP kayle pretty much left her in desperation mode, falling back on an AD build available to virtually any champion in the game. Her most viable roles are Jungle and top, the jungle one barely. And frankly, why even pick Kayle to counter Zed when Vi does that better? Can't r away when the champion IS the projectile.

When does Zed ult a Vi? Never. When is Kayle beside her carry in team fights? always.

I've never had a problem with Kayle in mid, she's fun and scales well enough that she can hold her own. Will she get fed? No, probably not. Will she prevent the enemy's biggest threats fro getting fed? Yes, that she will.

He doesn't, he ult's someone else then Vi ults him. The range on it gets a bit crazy when she Vault's for added range. Out of curiousity, did you switch to AD, or are you still running AP? I'm actually kind of curious.

Highly dependant on the game whether I run AP or an AS on-hit. Even with her nerfs, it's sometimes viable and more ideal to run AP.

Also, total waste of a Vi ult when you could be using it offensively on a champ with no escapes (zed just ults back out and runs from the team fight after the animation)

Using Sarcasm on the internet sucks... I mean... I would have thought the kassadin part would have tipped you off :/ I've played with a Kat before, I know how squish she is. Literally the only way Kat can get a Penta is if someone else sets it up by shredding the enemy team or catching a huge AoE CC.

At least AP mids that tower dive usually get the kill, if a Zed tower dives and misses their Q or someone actually learns how to side step then he can rarely kill them unless hes 5/0

And I would be absolutely fine if he had more and more reliable damage but traded that for the ability to get out of almost any situation. What I hate about Zed (and Leblanc(And Ahri)) is the fact is the fact that they fucking break assassination in half. The whole Risk-Reward thing can go straight to hell when we walk out of a series of metas that are defined by extremely safe assassins.

Most AP's have over 700 range on the business end of their kit. They don't even need to dive in the first place to kill an opponent under tower, and as such don't need to plan a way out from under the tower.
