Kindred is overbearing? On what server?

You do know Graves has way more mobility, right.

Actually not.

Kindred's mobility is tied to W, which has along CD. Grave's mobility is attached to his ult + E which is also reduced in time by CDR + attacking + also resets his attack timer. He's also innately faster than Kindred.

But go on and tell me more about balance oh mighty bronze lord.

Sorry, but this platinum/diamond pleb also has to say that kindred is far more mobile than graves.

And I'm not sure how anyone could think otherwise tbh.

Sorry, but this platinum/diamond pleb also has to say that kindred is far more mobile than graves.

Mk.

So, do share her highly mobile stance with her lower base movement speed and mobility attached to a particular zone, and a dash that isn't lowered by CDR, or attacking, and has a slower move time than all other dashes. She also builds the crit item that gives less MS than Graves.

Did I also mention Graves clears faster, and even invades Kindred, and has the ability to take storm raiders if he so chooses, wheres Kindred has to go Fervor to be semi viable.

Go on and humor me. I'll be right here.

Graves, dash cooldown.

18 / 17 / 16 / 15 / 14.

Reduced by 0.5 for each champion pellet hit.

Kindred, dash cooldown.

9

Reduced cooldown 4/3.5/3/2.5/2

Unless graves hits a champion 2 times at point blank range, his cooldown is way higher than kindreds which has 2 sec cooldown while maxed and in a big area.

Havent seen any Graves above bronze take storm raiders and the diference in ms isnt that high. And clearing speed doesnt matter as we are discussing mobility.

Result:

Kindred is far mobile than graves.

Respectfully, platinum/diamond scrublord who can read a champ wiki before spitting shit out of his arse.

Kindred's dash is not affected by CDR.

Graves is.

They're the same CD once Graves has 40% cdr.

Respectfully.

A diamond jungle main that deals with all of these problems, and not a random support main talking about champions he doesn't play.

Dextix LT4 votes

Kindreds dash is not afected by cdr, but having 2 sec cooldown at highest rank, well....

It beats what graves has. Graves dash cooldown has 14 seconds cooldown at highest rank. No graves ever builds 40% cdr, most of the time its 20%.

This means that graves cooldown at highest rank will be 11.2 seconds.

Then let us also take in his cd reduction from pellets.

On simple shots he shoots 4 pellets

On criticals he shoots 6 pellets.

To hit all those pellets he needs to be in melle range.

If we count in the extra shot given by the dash, he has 3 shots.

If all shots are non-crits - the cooldown is reduced by 6 seconds. Making the cooldown 5.2 seconds.

If all shots are crits the cooldown is reduced by 9 seconds. Making the cooldown 2.2 seconds.

Even with all of the reductions, graves has a higher cooldown dash, and to even get close to the cooldown that kindred has he has to fullfill these requirements

  1. Be in melle range for 3 shots.
  2. Have time for 3 shots.
  3. Hit all the shots.
  4. Get criticals on every shot.

While kindred only needs to stay in a certain area to get a 2 sec dash......

Yea, kindred is still more mobile. Despite being a support main, i play jungle often, and it is my job to know my teams composition, skills and abilities to support them.

Toastersaot4 votes

I think it's more of a conditional thing, where the Kindred is more mobile than Graves early, until he gets CDR, where they even out. Still Kindred is annoying af although I'm a silver pleb.

Kindred's dash is not affected by CDR.

Only when inside the wolf's Frenzy zone when her dash cooldown is lower than Graves could possibly hope to reach.

Outside of that zone, the 9 second cooldown is reduced by cdr as normal.

DefNotABot2 votes

Kindred's jump has a cd reduction when her zone is up, which has a much much lower cd than grave's e.

Keti1 votes

roughly the same tbh, but kindred's is generally more accessible.

I assure you in jungle clearing + traversing through river + in team fights + base movement speed Graves out shines her in mobility at all stages.

Even in late game, Kindred, during a fight can hop approximately 3 times at a limited distance in one specific area. Which then goes on a fairly long CD. Until those cds are up, she's statistically less mobile than almost all other champs in regards to dashing.

Graves is not set by those limitations.

Graves also lowers his dash cd by 2 seconds per non crit, and 3 seconds with crits.

At 40% cdr, which Graves can readily get. Graves resets his dash in 2/3 attacks. And since the dash resets his attack timer, it's actually faster than one would think.

The only time Kindred has "more mobility" is when she's hopping back and forth in a very particular zone for a very brief amount of time, and isn't really actually doing anything besides spitting out 150 damage and reset an auto. And even then, Graves can achieve the same mobility she can in that particular instance.

So with that concluded, the only time Kindred has "more mobility" is walking back from base. But even then, remember, she has way lower base ms. So, all those dashes do is "replace" the speed Graves already has passively walking. But even then, with that said, Graves can dash and just displace that anyways.

Please note, this also isn't even taking into effect for the special snowflake Graves that take Storm Raiders.

This thread isnt about graves.

She also losses 0 HP when clearing thanks to her W passive and kitting camps.

this isn't true

Feel free to go record yourself doing that. Except, you can't.

Onkel Malte2 votes

Not only that. they also fall off in late game where (as a infinte scaling personifaction of death itself) they actually should succeed more.

That dueling is awesome but the fact that they aren't really scalibg into late game bothers me.

Spaceman5pff3 votes

I like the chance-based scaling of kindred, though!

It is kinda cool that we have a champion that is flat-out strong early, and based on how well you play early to mid determines how well you scale into lategame. It is a scaling / snowball mechanic that depends on player skill and awareness outside of just earning gold from kills and farm. You have to get the right kills, and get the right farm to get that scaling. When i see a kindred that has 10 stacks at 20 minutes and DIDNT get 4 scuttle marks in a row, im like DAMN, props to u u played that shit well.

What I do not like is that a failure to snowball into a big lategame is not severaly punished like it is for Yi or other scaling-potential champs, as you can always just play for the defensive ult and swap out for green smite if you fall behind.

Vekkna1 votes

A super-snowballer with a very strong early game is pretty contrary to the design philosophy we see with other champs who snowball particularly hard.

Imagine if Katarina was strong early and won almost every lane while still snowballing super hard with gold. The rationale that Kindred's influence falls off hard late game applies equally to Katarina. Kat hits her high point in the early mid game after hitting 30 spell pen and finishing Luden's or Gunblade as first item.

Once people start finishing their MR items/Maws, Kat's threat level drops and her risk level spikes despite the fact that she continues to scale well into late. As a practical matter, she falls off like Kindred despite actual late-game scaling.

With the same snowball design and late game circumstances, why is Kindred allowed to have an OP early game and easy snowball while Kat is intentionally designed to lose basically every lane against an equal opponent?

Keti5 votes

kindred isn't super strong early anymore though, and lacks the play making ability of real early game powerhouses like lee/elise/nidalee to force the fights they want. They're more centered around mid game and objective control.

The super late game tryndamere jungle with a machete and no pots can destroy them. Sooooooo....

kindred is a lot weaker in early duels since they nerfed the hell out of the Q. The champion dropped over 5% winrate from last patch and is fairly balanced at the moment but will probably see another nerf due to bloodrazor buffs.

She's basically a pile of dog shit right now unless you know exactly what you're doing, and all the cards line up right.

Keti3 votes

nah you just have to adapt to their new powercurve. The Q change sucks but bloodrazor is a huge buff from devourer in that kindred doesn't have to waste away the mid game farming stacks and can fight with the immediate power spike of bloodrazor once the Q is on its fully reduced cooldown. Post level 9 the champion isn't nerfed at all, so it's all about getting to that point. personally I've been powerfarming to level 5 before trying to show myself, and it's worked out quite well. Same feelings from other top Kindred OTPs, they're fine.

Kindred players on average are some of the biggest noobs around, with an average game experience of 21. She has the third highest jungle play rate. She has a 51% win rate. It only takes Kindred players 5-15 games to break over a 50% win rate.

No, she's still strong.

sustainy in long fights. which early game fights end to be. also all his abilities. do damage. also. all his abilities. scale of base ad which any champion starts off with a base amount of ad and 0 bonus ad and you don't have much bonus ad at start of the game. also being ranged means you gonna land more autos. there you go. also his abiltiies start off with high base damage. and then don't scale that hard later. he has a lot of sustained damage. his W. his Q lowesh cooldown inside his W. his E that has amazing early game damage. and his W passive that heals in in longer fights.

in 1v1s every little thing matters

thats my opinion.early game his passive is ok if he got a few stacks quick but its not a game changer. he can do a lot of damage building pure ad not not investing into expensive crit items.

I don't know. But when I see that bitch I run. And even then, depending on my champ, she may still run me down.

You can have my jungle, just don't kill me! Then, late game, if the rest of my team has followed the appropriate "run the fuck away" strategy, I just laugh as we barrel her over.

SIayton1 votes

Kindred is toxic because she's a squishy that you can't kill. She ALWAYS gets to deal damage. Additionally she can gank you when you're closer to your tower because she's not melee, so her oppotunities for ganks are much higher than most junglers. She's also mobile so... she can close the gap faster and her ult lets her take more risk. Also the fact she does % life damage means she's equally effective against all targets.

She's got a lot going for her.

JerulEon1 votes

She is a pretty strong duelist. The thing I hate most about her is her ult tho. It's bullshit because it completely forgives the enemy for mispositioning. Like if we catch out a Kindred by herself, bursting her down without letting her ult is a challenge. It gives her and her team time to react and your pick turns out into a losing team fight. :(

But the nerfs to her Q made her way more manageable thank goodness.
