How long have hook support kill lanes been dominating bot lane?

I'd like to say midseason 4, since that's around the time I joined.

Since Blitzcrank Leona Morgana Zyra stopped existing.

AKA never.

Back in season 3, Blitzcrank was played tons. Then Thresh got released and then he kind of dominated.

They have been around a long time because not only does the ability CC the guy. But it also yanks them away from safety. Usually this ends up with more CC so its a nightmare.
