Leona is an extremely unhealthy champion and probably more than enchanters

Saw a thread comparing playing against enchanters and playing against leona, and it really sounded wrong to me!

playing against enchanters? well they will give you a harder time to kill their adc...

playing against leona? -harder time to kill her adc because she has a very reliable protection -cannot lane after lvl 2 except if you hardcounter her with champions like Alistar Janna -is able to engage from a very long distance with ult and unless you have flash or mobility it is tough to get out! -deals way too much damage unlike janna or soraka, she can easily 1v1 an adc until the adc has a lot of items

so i don't know why youwould prefer to play against leona, anyone doesn't play botlane to just experience a lvl 2 leona?

her ultimate has 90 seconds cd... remember that we nerfed riven garen darius irelia cd ult because they would kill you and kill you against once you come back to lane it's the same with leona damn!!! everytime we fight and escape her ult she would have it against once i'm back in lane except this time i don't have flash..

the reason i trully believe that leona is unhealthy is simply because her E goes through minions it's so damn hard to answer to a lvl 2 leona without hardcounters

if i'm playing against blitzcrank, i can hide behind minions and poke him from there punishing him if he tries to come to me because he has 325 base movement speed and if he uses his W, at least there's a trade as it costs 75 mana

but leona? everytime i dodge her E (really rare) i don't feel like i achieved anything, you know how i feel? i feel like i just delayed my death by 10 sec

you don't believe me? watch leona patch notes, she really was never balanced. this champion was either the suprem judge of bot or completly unviable and never picked i really don't remember when leona was balanced at all...

just a thought i cared to share

Being one of the players who abuse Leona's OP state, I agree.

There are only two things you need to do in order to beat Leona, which I am very aware of as I like to play Leona and this is what other people use to deal with me.

  1. Dodge her E.
  2. Poke her when she moves to use charges of her support item.

Do both of these together and you'll do just fine. Doesn't matter if you feel like you are achieving anything or not, all that matters is that you are achieving something. Waste her mana and lower her health and she won't be able to go in and do her job.

I will say that when I was playing against her as Zyra (I should note this was a blind pick), I felt like I was doing negative damage, like... actually healing her (which could've been the case if she goes Second Wind, I think). :T

Honestly, sticking to her ADC is also a good idea since with 3-4 layers of resistances (base, bonus[weak early], resistances given by W, resistances given by Aftershock), Leona's a raid boss.

If you're not just overexaggerating I want to know what that Leona did, because Zyra is a pain train for a melee engage champion like Leona.

In the match-up against Zyra, Leona wins due to the fact that Zyra is so squishy - if you hit her, she just dies.

This was pre-mini-W-rework. Right when preseason started, I was trying out which runes are viable on Zyra. I'm not so sure about early game, I'd have to try it out again.

Just remember right from lvl 1, Leona has access to Aftershock's resistances (unless she starts W for some godforsaken reason), her W gives her resistances as well once she unlocks it (and she maxes W first), Remember Aftershock works almost EXACTLY like Leona W, triggering when she CCs someone. Bonus resistances are resistances she gets from items (so yeah, it's weak early).

The game was too far back for me to recall but I think we WERE against an MF/Zyra botlane. After any time at all, Leona becomes a problem because your plants just don't touch her. I don't know, maybe it was a bug.

Also, Second Wind is a rune that heals back 4% of your missing health when hit by an enemy. With cooldown-reliant damage like Zyra's, there's the question of "is she just healing back most of my plants' damage every time I get a combo off on her?"

i dont main leona but i play her really well.couple things i found her biggest weakness is she is weak at level 2. stay behind minions so she not gonna able to land her q. if ur support gets caught up just tell him or her to focus on enemy adc. ohh yea braum counters her.
