Seems a bit unfair, doesn't it?

I just got off a 10 game chat restriction for calling someone out (rather excessively, I admit) for their terrible decision making, meanwhile, I get called a racial slur and told to drink bleach with no notification that my report resulted in a ban. Seems about right...

Well at least they got one ban right :D

Wow. Kindly show yourself out back to games where the passive-aggressive asshole (like you, btw) intentionally incite anger in teammates for no reason other than to troll and ruin the game for 9 other people.

Oh just admit you're wrong and you're crossing the salt line a little too often already.

A prime example of why you got banned. Dude, take everything a little less seriously.

If I wanted to take things less seriously, I would just queue for normals. And this is the exact issue that I'm trying to bring attention to...

FYI: Only the last player that reported a player who then got punished gets that popup. No popup =/= no punishment.

Ya, ya ik, but it feels like shit when you send a thoughtful report about someone that actually deserves a ban and get no feedback...

You only get the notification if your report triggered the punishment. I've reported many people who say stuff like that and didn't get the message. Best to just hope Karma catches them soon.

Yes, but that feels like shit. It just perpetuates toxicity when you report someone you know deserves a ban, but don't get that notification. You should get one if they were punished within ~24 hours of your report. I think that would make it feel like we have so much more impact.

No offence man, but I don't really take any of this to heart without seeing the full picture. Sure what he said was undoubtedly wrong but what you responded with might have been equally as severe and, without chat logs, this just seems like you're victimizing yourself and playing the sympathy card.

I can't possibly give you the chat logs of what others said, and you know it. The fact is, Riot has been banning people for lashing out against trolls and other forms of toxic players since the dawn of time under the belief that is was not possible to detect trolls and the kind of passive-aggressive chat they so frequently employ in game in order to avoid reports for verbal toxicity. Now, with how toxic the community is thanks to DQ and all that it brings to the table, it's just gone too far.

I'm not doubting you and I never asked for the chat logs. I don't know enough about Riots banning habits but, yeah, I do have some sort of faith in the system seeing a numerous amount of my reports resulting in a notification of punishment. I see what you mean by trolls using cleverly worded passive aggressive chat to beat the system although I'm fairly certain Riot uses manual reviews in the case of a certain account triggering multiple reports.

Riot has virtually no manual review at this point. The only time an actual person looks at a report is when the ban bot flags the account for a time suspension. Everything else is automated, at least to my knowledge.

This happens a lot actually. I have a report on one of my games and the only thing that could even have been reported on the log was me saying "dam" and it was not even typed to the people who were telling me I'm trash and the worst jungler they've ever seen and I need to kms yada yada yada. You can type "you aren't doing well either, I'm 0-2 because mid and bot are in my jung while you lol'farming bot lane" and somehow that criticism right there is reportable.

You can get reported by someone who openly admits to trolling and feeding and griefing in your game and they are TRYING to get a rise out of you and when you type ANYTHING to that person that upsets them, they report you and then laugh because they see it pop up that you got a chat restriction.

More investigation needs to go in to things like this, if someone gets banned from your entire team reporting them and you see it pop up on the instant feed back, I feel like a report from said player should hold no grounds.

EDIT: Hell it seems like even telling someone they are cancer and getting reported because they are griefing soooooo much and won't stop flooding the chat with nonsense, it toxic in as well and gets you banned as well XD. Makes zero sense to me. Telling someone they are toxic is toxic? Riot acts like the un interested or lazy dad that just yells at all the kids to all go to their rooms, regardless of who's wrong in the situation Lol.
