So a slow Marksman? How is that even expected to work?

To me that's just a horrible idea, he's either going to be too weak to keep up with other adcs due to being slow or end up like graves and 1 shotting people because they gave him too much damage to compensate for speed

Caitlyn at the moment is the slowest attacking adc to compensate for her damage / harassing and is probably one of the worst adcs in the game right now. Not to mention you gave "the slowest adc yet" a reload..

I don't usually say this about new champions but this guy is going to be either insanely overpowered or stupidly weak that will get buffed into being overpowered, you're just giving yourself a huge balance problem here with this guy

Just because he's a Marksman doesn't necessarily mean we have to play him as ADC.

I, for one, am going to try him in the jungle. His kit seems suited to do average in the jungle and it looks like you can pull off impressive feats from the shadows with his ult.

I feel he'll find a good spot in mid.

Maybe he's a mid laner.

He is designed as a mid laner with a siege kit like xerath. The closest comparison to an ADC of this type is kog, an ADC who's kit gives up a massive sacrifice (in this case all mobility) and tries to make up for it with large strengths in other areas but in the end doesn't have enough compensations to make up for it. I imagine even with immense damage he'll most likely get outclassed by ADC's, assassins, and any other champion that can dodge his abilities and minor CC then destroy him because he has no mobility or tank aka a true glass cannon like kog.

On S@20 it said he was designed as a marksman but they wouldn't be suprised if he did go mid lane

Varus?

Varus builds attackspeed generally and a lot of it (from what i've seen) from what Rito was trying to give off about him is he's more of the "damage in trade for speed" like graves

It's hard to decide on his kit without seeing his full numbers and actually playing him. He could turn out perfectly ok knowing Riot though he won't be and they'll tweak him until he is.

True, I may just be assuming way too fast. DPS is the main trait of marksman though making them slow counteracts that

He's going to end up being a ranged ad caster like Jayce or Urgot moreso than your standard adc. While you can play him in the bot lane, his ability to take objectives with likely pale in comparison to standard adcs. Considering Urgot and Jayce get played in top lane a lot, I assume he's going to end up in a similar place.

I don't think that's very likely. When champions like this get played top lane, it's because they either have strong bruiser elements (Urgot's tankiness and sheer trading potential in lane or Jayce's melee bruiser stuff), or because they have very strong kiting (Vayne and Quinn's huge disengage against single target people, Jayce's knockback). These let them trade back against bruisers and gives them an avenue to escape in case the bruiser gets onto them. He doesn't really have either, so I'd bet almost anything that he'll be a very bad top laner.

Midlane maybe just because he can waveclear from range, but I don't see anything that would make him actually worth playing top.Bot lane will still probably be the best though. He looks good enough at laning with a support, and he's still going to be good enough at objective taking to make it work fine.

He's fodder for all the assassins.
