Thank heavens I get to help new players learn the game in Ranked XD (sarcasm)

The ranking system for bronze is terrible... Straight terrible. Lets begin with when I started playing league again after 11 months or so of unactivity. I jump in my promos and what do I find... elo hell still existing in League. I get new players who don't know how to play, trolls, or disconnections. I win 5 out of 10, 3 losses from disconnecting players, and the other 2 from trolls. So where do I go. out of Gold, Silver and bronze... Bronze III, really? My buddy gets 6 out of 10 and is support main and gets Silver II but I lose one more match then him and play ADC (one of the hardest roles in League) and I get Bronze III.

Well whatever, thats cool right? Nope, cause now that I have been in that nice 2 out of 3 series over 3 times now! Losing each time to new players... feeders.. trolls... and disconnectors.... Mainly from trollls.

RIOT GAMES THIS IS BROKEN, STOP IGNORING IT AND FIX IT. Its funny cause everything is driven for you to be the best you can be. Even though I play my hardest every game, and yes occasionally have a bad game which everyone will have. I'm learning that inorder for me to get up in that ladder I have to literally play hundreds of matches and WISH UPON ALL THAT IS HOLY that I will get LUCKY.... thats about it... I hate games of LUCK and League has become a game of LUCK when it comes to going up the Bronze ladder.

I've played against higher tier people, their not that much better. I've even spectated Gold and Plat people and they're still not "that" amazing, and I'm not saying that I personally am. I'm not, I just work with my team and do the best that I can do. But when my 5v5 team becomes a 3v5 with a troll screwing around. Then I think League is a waist of time.

For me League is becoming a waist of time. I have nothing to show for the hundreds and thousands of hours I've put into the game. Apparently I have to make this game my 8 hour day job in order to progress?? Is that what your saying Riot?? That I have to get LUCKY and then play non stop in order to have any form of satisfaction?

I am not satisfied with this game anymore. I've been playing since season 1. Personally I like season 1 more.

How on earth can I build hundreds of AD, and some tank meta crap can build maybe 50 AD in his build, and be destroyed??? I play some of these easy tank meta champions and think, "wow this is way to easy, I have no AD items built or anything and I'm dominating!!" Its making me think that in order to win I just have to play someone tanky. Alistar, Garen, etc. They all go just about straight tank and can easy kill anyone.

Anyways thats an example of a separate issue.

Let me know what you think, I want some kind of change, to be honest I only play league right now because I literally have no other option and no money to get something different.

If things don't change, then im leaving, and im not refering anyone else to this game. I think I've convinced 8-10 people to start playing regularly. But I'm done at this rate. Come next season, if I don't get into at least silver, then I'm probably going to uninstall. Waisting my life away to a game that doesn't recognize you for your loyalty. They don't make money off the LCS pro's. They make money off the masses, and once you piss off and screw the majority enough, then you lose profit. Hopefully that happens so some of these huges problems actually gets some real attention.

Your placement was based on your MMR.

Anyone not doing Ranked for the first time has MMR that they gained from last season. From that, everyone lost a little coming into 2015 Season for a "soft reset", about 3 divisions worth. Then, you lose/gain small bits of MMR from your placement matches, which I don't think are worth more than any other match. Your new Rank will be where your MMR is after that; it's not dependent on the placement matches anymore, so that Plats can't accidentally get Bronze and vice versa. Your MMR was really low and your friends was much better.

This is a rough estimation of your MMR from last season (taken from Lolking). You never got close enough to being in Silver to possibly get placed there. https://i.gyazo.com/ed3d2509f97a2ed9189921ff73826b93.png

So hows that work, I have a life right? I have 2 jobs, i don't have time to play constantly. Sure once or twice a day, and lately I've been doing amazing. But again I get trolled non stop. I am a team player I would love to main Support but you never win doing that. What am I supposed to do? There is no sense of progress or satisfaction.

Thank you for commenting by the way

So your saying that its based off when I could barely get a game in? Not how im performing now?

Because granted It was different before, and to not include trolls and very inexperienced players. I feel like that is simply a lack of playing constantly. Since I don't have a huge number of matches recently. But when I do play I still win about 45-50% of ranked games depending on trolls and what not, and in almost all other catergories im well over 50% winning rate

So again what do I do???

You don't have to play a lot to gain rank. If you improve in few games rather than many, then you'll win and gain rank in few games. I had a 6.5 month gap between the last time I played a Ranked match last season and doing my placements this season, but I improved in that time and drastically improved my rank in 1/3rd the number of games I played the entire last season. Don't focus on just playing as many matches as possible, but on improving without playing a lot. Watch streams, LCS, read guides and whatnot.

I don't know what you're best at or what you play in Ranked, but I suggest only using what you're best at there. The other stuff can stick to Normals.

Its impossible. These last few games, the only time i've lost is when someone quits, trolls, disconnects, or having multiple people doing insane things. Like tower diving early game with no results, doing so multiple times, going toe to toe with someone when their 3 kills behind in lane early game.

I've been doing really good but I keep getting pushed down by bad luck? How is that at all an accurate measurement of someones ability? Now I do have really bad matches like a 0/11/6 with yasuo but that was due to someone who went top when we had all planned on me going there, then he disconnected for 10 minutes, came back and died multiple times. While I got stuck with my counter Akali in Mid and our jungle had to switch to top. I got ganked and camped for the rest of the game.

My point is that they're some flat out mean players in bronze that make it literally impossible to get out of.

HOW ELO DECAY AFFECTS MMR Also you can experience such huge LP gain after decay. If you haven’t played League of Legends for a long time and several divisions were decayed then you would gain really huge amount of the LP per win. This would happen because your MMR haven’t changed while your division / ELO position actually did.

I got this off google, Since I didn't play for so long should my MMR sky rocket with each win? But you can see that its not moving much at all per win

They removed decay for Bronze-Gold tiers. Your MMR is probably around average for your division atm. You can tell if it's low/high if you are gaining less/more per match than you lose. You can check it on third party sites, but only Riot has your real MMR so theirs can be quite inaccurate.

Ok ok ok hold up here, so my actual score, and how much im getting atm is accurately held by Riot. Is there anyway to see that from Riot? Or are they going to keep how Im actually doing a secret?? The more I learn about all of this bullcrap the more broken it is.

So, nothing matters but history of playing alot and winning alot, and playing alot. Meaning if you just play the game chances are that your score is going to be high. Not meaning if your good or bad, just if you play alot and luckily don't get any DC's, trolls, crap players, etc.

Meaning if I want to get anywhere near getting out of bronze, i don't actually have to do good in matches, I just have to play alot and hope that my average of wins out does my average of loses. Meaning that this game is more about Quantaty rather than quality. Which means that league is turning into fox news. Where they'll manipulate you into playing more for profit, instead of the first seasons when it was for fun. A nice free to play.

Basically what your telling me is that the only way to get higher mmr is if I

  1. Play an F*** ton of matches
  2. Win some of them
  3. Hope and pray not to get any DC's, trolls, new players, etc.

Which is again IMPOSSIBLE to do in Bronze.

Face it Bronze is Elo Hell and the chances of getting out of it from teir 3 or Bronze III is slim to none.

Because right now I do have more wins than losses and I can tell you why I lost each and everyone of my ranked matches for my series matches.

Each loss had some form of troll and DC'er, EVERY SINGLE ONE. I understand its a team game, but literally the second 1 single member is doin weird stuff, you lose.

League players are usually toxic, a big majority. A lot of them expect more.

Like for one, veteran players in bronze.

How the hell does someone get over 100+ wins in ranked matchmaking and still be stuck in Bronze?? They're most likely really really bad, or have really really bad luck.

I usually will win 3 or 4 matches in a row, get to my series matches, and then get a freak ton of toxic, trolling, DC'ing, jerks who don't care about league.

This is my point, the whole point is that ELO Hell exists.

I can't even remotely control the outcome of any match. The match really comes down to luck. Getting a toxic troll, new player, or DC'er, OR not.
