Hows the whole reducing ping thing going riot?

Phase 2 fixed the issue for a large number of East Coast players. If your ISP isn't partnered with Riot you may want to contact them to voice your concern or switch to a partnered ISP (if it's an option). Else you'll have to wait until Phase 3 (server move).

My ping went from 100-120 to a stable ~80 (eastern Canada).

Easiest way to find out if your ISP is partnered is to run a tracert to 192.64.170.1 If you don't see riogamesdirect.com as one of the hop, you are not being routed through the new system.

You can test for packet loss by analyzing a few network logs on logsoflag.com.

If your ISP is partnered and you have a higher than expected ping and/or packet loss, the issue is somewhere between your modem and riotdirect (i.e.: your ISP, bad hop between your ISP and riotdirect).

The packet loss is better? But not the ping. I still cant get botrk active to work all the time. And with draven, I am always seeing him start an attack, stop and then have to move forward again to get back in range.

I'm from Nova Scotia, and yeah the ping is terrible. Decent internet/wifi, so I assume that something is not right with the server side. On any given day I have about 100-150 ping. But the moment I see that 999 on the loading screen I feel like quitting.

In a recent match, 3 or more of my deaths happened during a lag spike, and most lag spikes occurred just before or during a teamfight. So I click for the brush or backwards immediately so I don't return to the game dead.

It's amazing that sometimes you don't die, but it's never good to see yourself walking towards the nexus when the connection comes back.

I live in Ottawa, Canada and run about 45 ping average (though ping spikes, when they do happen, are ridiculously high - like 6k+)

I have a stable connection with an ethernet cable at 110-97. I think I just realized I cant play draven competitively with this ping. I thought it was just me not being able to click well enough to catch my axes at first but then I held my mouse down and made him run in "circles". Its actually more like running in a square because his turns are so sharp. Sometimes I even fail to attack. Its weird.

I live on the east coast in Massachusetts needless to say the past few days I just get constant spikes in games causing annoying deaths, its keeping me from playing ranked I do get good days but its making me feel like quitting. The feeling of jumping away with zed shadow and not moving only to learn you were placed back to where you started from putting the shadow and dying . :( They need to fix this quick i miss ranked.
