I'm really having fun laning against Urgot

Is there even a fucking counter to this champion? Other than "safely farming and not trading with him and trying not to die in laning phase and asking for your jungler to hold your hand"

Honestly, fuck this champion, you all complain about Irelia, she has counterplay to her kit, where is the counterplay to a champion with a one to two item wake up in a meta where games are decided within that gold range?

I'm literally permanently banning this champion until it's nerfed into the fucking ground, I just hit Diamond on my other account, and I was really really happy about it, playing against Urgot once made me not even want to play this game, I'm fucking depressed.

Champions that directly counter his kit: Aatrox Olaf Tryndamere

Champions that can piss him off until he makes a mistake: Gangplank Heimerdinger

Or simply learning how to do it. Urgot's kit is similar to heim/illaoi in that it counters dive perfectly. It forces players to play passively, to play the macro game which hasn't been a thing for those 3 years and to make an optimal situation. Do you dive into donger/illaoi's face on a woo? No. You take out tentacles and turrets, bait either E then you go in. Urgot is the same. Bait his E and engage.

I've obliterated him on Chogath Darius DrMundo Heimerdinger Illaoi Olaf Sion Yorick . I farm farm and farm some more. Tabi, bramble vest into deadmans if I'm struggling, which I did a little on yorick. But all turned out the same. I got fat as fuck, and either ran him down, killed his towers before he killed mine or poked him out of lane.

yeah i've been getting into top lane recently as well and can tell you urgot is still as aids as he was at rework release, really doesn't have any "hard counters" but your best bet is to play Jax Sion Kled .
