Does not buying a jungle item on junglers effect grade?

Long story short, if I get ahead on Shaco enough to get a BF sword on first back, I go for that instead of upgrading my machete. If things continue to go well from there, I'll opt to finish the IE before upgrading machete, then from there I'll get statik shiv. Last game a few minutes before the enemy's surrender came through, I sold my machete to finish boots and my statik. Not to toot my own horn, but I did really well that game ending 8/3/4 with 66 farm in a 22 minute game. I recieved an A-. And I know what you're thinking; 66 farm isn't a lot at all, but as Shaco, one of the slowest clearers in the game and in a 22 minute game, that's pretty good tbh. I've definitely done much worse and still gotten an S- or higher with Shaco, but I've never sold my jungle item before and I'm thinking that might have something to do with it.

Shaco main here. He's assuredly not one of the slowest clearers, and 8/3/4 in 22 min isn't very impressive below high plat. Rushing a BF sword on first back is rather suboptimal, as there's a lot of better choices you could go for which would have a much better impact on clearing the jungle.

Selling the machete doesn't impact the rating, but the utilities the jungle items give are definitely worth upgrading it for Shaco.

While I'd normally agree with this, I don't think the way modern rating systems work (Especially the fact they remain undisclosed) is conducive to healthy gameplay without a review board, and nobody makes a review board intent on handing our rewards or promotions these days. Or if they do, it's so exclusive that nobody know's it exists, or even if they did, it would be lauded as a sham like publisher's clearing house might be, or even likened to Santa Claus to keep people behaving good, or even a biblical version if you know what I'm hinting. My point is that with humanity it's not necessarily high quality system right now to continue not sharing how a program works in a video game full of so much imbalance and some bugs even in it's perfect profile.

Anyway, its become increasingly apparent to players that sometimes you get bonuses at the start of the game which will not persist to the end of the game and will even appear to aid your enemy later in the game, so it's become necessary to develop the skill to shut games out FREAKING early these days. In regards to this topic, I think not having a jungler item on certain junglers shouldn't negatively impact their grades.

Speaking reasonably though, if someone got insanely good stats without doing something that's veritably quintessential to the traditional performance, I have no idea why anyone would penalize that given the automated system to shit so shouldn't have to worry about checking if someone jungling has something as basic as smite or jungler item when it's been declared you cannot succeed without it in the first place.

They won't tell us any answer to OP's question, but I hope that if anyone has control over the rating system it wouldn't take that into account.

After the initial boxes at krugs and Red to start out with, he's easily in the top 10 slowest junglers. For this reason, he's a ganking jungler that transitions into a late game split pusher.
