If you had to rework your own main.. How would you do it?

SwiftKitten88··18 votes·2,267 views

My main is Nidalee

and honestly... there isn't much i would touch about her.. mostly all just a bunch of small reverts

i would remove hunted from procing on jungle camps.. (this is key and is what would allow the following changes to actaully be done without breaking her)

i would revert the change that make her pounce reset scale with level of your ultimate i would revert the cast time change on her Q back to .125 seconds i would revert her traps back to 4.17 values and i would change the cougar form cooldowns back to 5 seconds from 6. (honestly this was stupidest most pointless change i have ever seen done)

and i would increase her hp growth per lvl by 10

Shen

Passive

Ki strike: (on hit effect) activates within X seconds (active until procced) Shen deals a percentage (X/X/X) of his opponent's hp in magic damage, auto attacking refunds the cooldown with X - X seconds. Ki strike refunds a small portion of energy.

Q

Vorpal blade: Slim width, medium length line skillshot which penetrates but deals low amount of flat magic damage (scaling with Shen's max hp) to the first target hit, once cast it leaves a spirit sword on its final location. Reactivating Q within X seconds returns the spirit sword to Shen, if it collides with a champion Shen steals a small portion of their movement speed and gains 3 empowered (higher dmg only) passive stacks for X seconds.

W

Ki Barrier Passive: Procs instantly upon activating a ability, Shen shields himself for X/X/X/X/X (+ X% bonus health) for 2.5 seconds. If the triggering ability successfully affected at least one champion, Ki Barrier's cooldown is reduced by X - X seconds.

Active Spirit Refuge: Shen creates a anti auto attack field for 1.75 seconds at his location.

E

Shadow dash: return damage reduction from taunted enemies OR dashing through allies provides them with Ki Barrier shield.

R

Stand united: Shen's R scales completely with allied missing HP, meaning it will receive a higher cooldown for higher health targets, giving less shield to higher health targets and having a longer cast time on higher health targets. This would punish Shen for using it offensively and should be buffed slightly for clutch saves. I'd say the punish zone lies within 60% + allies, the regular applies til 30% and allies below 30% net a stronger R than live. I'd say lower CD, slightly stronger shield and -1 second cast time.

This would encourage Shen to build AS for his passive and Q procs, and push Shen more towards saving his allies instead of using his ult on top of a engage. He still could, but if they don't win that fight Shen pays a hefty price. It would also allow him to peel effectively, while being a medium DPS threat.

ChaddyFantome2 votes

I like this. it keeps his Spirit sword, gives him back something similar to his old Q while also making him less unwieldy and convoluted.

And A Real Hiero2 votes

Thanks, that is exactly what I was going for. Maybe Riot could be nice and include a dual wielding technique for good measure.

Auurun2 votes

This is pretty cool. I'm not huge fan of the anti-auto field still being there, but whatever. The only thing I would add is the ability to ult shens sword xd

And A Real Hiero1 votes

Its not terrible if you can place it easier, I'm not a huge fan of it myself but it isn't bad. Ulting the sword wouldn't really work though since it has a limited lifespan in its new form, old form wouldn't be that useful either tbh. I'd like Shen to be a dueling peeler or a peeling duelist.

Auurun1 votes

The only reason I'd like this ult sword interaction is simply because i don't think abilities that don't have any basic functionality when in 1v1 fight are a good design. That's why i don't like Sorakas W, Aurelions E, Yasuos ult and so on. This abilities can be used only if certain condition is meet resulting in way more predictable order of using these abilities and therefore giving champion less possible plays. For me every ability should be usable in 1v1 scenario and when you want to. Doesn't mean they can't have some other conditional effects xd

When it comes to this field it just that I don't like counterpicking and this encourage it a little bit.... But i hate fucking master so it can stay xD

And A Real Hiero1 votes

True but in a manner of speaking it is useable in a 1v1, making it a 2v1. Though by making his ult more situational (weaker) it allows more power into his other skills meaning he can 1v1 more succesfully.

JusticePauldrons1 votes

This is actually super nice and well thought out. It remind me of his old kit with throwing the sword.

And A Real Hiero1 votes

Thanks! Though I mostly used what Riot came up with and added a little nostalgia.

Melledoneus2 votes

Great rework. If Shen gets decent base stats, especially good base attack speed, this rework would be perfection. You truly are a Shen main at heart.

Bonus points if the ultimate's shield can get ridiculously huge if cast at the right time.

Thanks man, that means a lot coming from you.

Mordekaiser +10 MS W is fully self castable

Done

Wyrmblade4 votes

This plus removing the experience bonus, bugfixes and vastly improving dragon AI.

Once I finally started to learn new Mordekaiser the changes to basic abilities were actually really great. The actual problems with the rework have been solved by now since he isn't awkwardly forced to bot lane anymore and AD builds have fallen off the radar mostly. Current Mordekaiser, is fun to play, has reasonable counterplay and extremely unique in the roster.

I do kind of wish Riot looked more at the traditional tanky juggernaut style they originally had planned for him with old Mordekaiser. For an invincible warlord he's squishy as balls.

P: Gain a meep for each chime. Even if you reduce or remove the damage and CC, I want way more meeps. Every chime now gives a meep.

Q: If it shoots through your portal, it flies through at hyper speed, gains infinite range till it hits a wall, and instantly kills any enemy champions it would hit.

R: Stasis does not end.

difficult to say as I like what Riot has done so far.

Maybe replace the generic damage on powercord-Q with a defense shred for 2-3 seconds. Kinda give it more of a team impact I guess.

Riven

I would lean heavily on her fighting game inspired origins.

For starters, I would give her a "super meter" that is sectioned off into 4 parts. She would gain meter by dealing damage and taking damage to and by enemy minions, champions and monsters, while also passively and slowly generating meter while below 35% health. Each section would represent 25% of her meter, which she can spend to do either two things, those being enhancing her abilities with "EX" versions of her normal abilities or unleashing a super move, otherwise known as her ult.

Using an EX move costs 25% meter, and EX moves either do more damage or has a very useful quality tacked on. Her ult would be largely unchanged, but cost 50% meter per cast. Whenever or not she would be able to cast her wind slash without blade of the exile has been thought about.

EX moves would be cast most easily, to my knowledge, by binding a double tap of her ability keys to them. For example, hitting Q once uses the ability normally, while quickly hitting QQ would consume 25% meter and use the EX version of the ability instead. If Windslash could be cast without activating Blade of the Exile first, it would be done the same way, but still cost 50% meter.

Possible changes to her abilities for EX versions would need to be worked on by a actual balance team. Whenever or not the base abilities are weaker than how they are currently or the same as they are while the EX moves are either what they currently are or stronger versions might be played with, mix and matching those two ideals as seen fit. My take looks like this:

Q1+2: Unchanged EXQ1+2: Increased damage and/or dash range.

Q3: No knockup. Replaced by her old knock back. EXQ3: Increased damage and/or dash range. Knockup re-replacing knockback and behaving as it does live.

W: No longer 360 degrees. Hits an area similar in size as her first two Qs in front of her. EXW: Full 360 hitbox and increased damage.

E: Unchanged EXE: Complete change. Now is a shoulder bash and inflicts damage to the first enemy champion struck. No longer has a shield, but gives Riven a VERY brief moment of untargetability at the very start of the cast. Possible small knockback. Dash range unchanged. (Think of a shoryuken from street fighter in this case.)

Kinda sorta. The main objective is to give her a fun resource to play around that no one would particularly dislike. But unlike Renekton, its a choice if you want to blow meter or not.

Kayle main. 1 million plus master points.

Firstly I'd make her permanently ranged but single target by default. I see no point in having her melee at all since it's absolutely useless. I'd change her E to give her bonus attack speed, which goes up with E ranks. It would also give her the AOE component on her ranged attacks and it would boost her damage much like it does now.

I would also raise the value on her resistance shred. Right now, at max stacks it gives 15% MR/Armor reduction which, to be honest, doesn't do much. Maybe it did once but it is woefully inadequate in the current meta. She might as well not even have it. At the very least, I'd make it stack additively with other sources of resistance percentage reductions.

For now, it's all I can think of to start fixing her problems. Not really in the mood to write and essay on this.

Rengooo2 votes

As long as they don't try to keep this nonsense of high dps marksman with an invulnerability. Those two strengths are obnoxious in combination.

AirKingNeo1 votes

I main Kayle, and aside from you're comment below this about Fiora/Tryndamere being horrifically incorrect, all you're asking for is buffs.

Kayle isn't Jax. She doesn't need buffs.

This is a rework thread, not "random buffs because why not".

FioraWillCarry1 votes

I main Kayle, and aside from you're comment below this about Fiora/Tryndamere being horrifically incorrect, all you're asking for is buffs.

Ok lemme put it a different way. You pop into a game, boom....your bot lane feeds a double by 3 minutes. 2 minutes later, boom, they feed another double kill. With Fiora, Jax and Tryndamere, you can put a stop to that shit early by roaming/TP. With Kayle, you gotta wait.....and wait and wait. You have to let your team continue feeding until you have your three item spike before you can start helping seriously.

I mean you can try to help early with Kayle but the problem you will face most of the time is that your damage is so lacking that you risk feeding yourself or at the very least everyone gets away and you get nothing for your roams. Fiora, Trydamere and Jax don't have that problem they are dangerous even without items.

AirKingNeo1 votes

Except Kayle isn't a fighter like Fiora and Tryndamere. She's a marksmen. Also, your improbable example is improbable.

Again, your entire changelist is a bunch of unnecessary buffs which would make her overpowered.

Fiora and Tryndamere can take 80% of your HP in 1.5 seconds with only Doran's Blade.

This is false.

I'll wait for your rebuttal.

Nah, I don't care enough to expend an enormous amount of effort to convince you. Some stranger on a internet forum agreeing with me doesn't enrich my life in any way. I'm always willing to share my views but if you don't agree, it doesn't kill me or make me poor. I don't really care.

AirKingNeo1 votes

You have near 1million mastery points on Kayle, but you're still silver.

You think two champions can 100-20 you in 1.5 seconds with a starting item.

You think Kayle, a marksmen, should be able to do teleport plays like a fighter.

Your changelist is asking for buffs, not a rework.

I don't think you opinion has shown to have much credibility.

That would massively nerf him though.

Rengooo2 votes

Might need some minor balance work, buffing empowered Q would seem like the way to go considering the way ferocity works now.

ChaddyFantome1 votes

Already done! Talon For Lulu tho, id make her able to cast E at a location like orianna ball or Azir soldier. I'd also give her passive a debilitating effect instead of just being dmg.

GULAG 4 U1 votes

E is polymorph right? Right now the duration is hilariously long for a point and click IMO.

ChaddyFantome1 votes

E is polymorph right?

No. E is Help, Pix!.... Polymorh is on her W. How would making Polymorph work like Orianna ball even work?

What I had in mind at one point was making her passive apply Faerie/pixie Dust on targets and Lulu using her Q on a target with 9 stacks of it would Shrink them, and debuff them for like 1.5 seconds. I'd lower he Polymorph to 1.5 to compensate.

GULAG 4 U2 votes

Right now, (this is obviously my opinion), I think that Lulu's polymorph is a bit dumb. The reasoning behind this is because it's a huge cockblock button while being point and click, which is not exactly counterplay. It promotes uninteractiveness because the counterplay is limited to staying outside it's range. My making it a perhaps more skillshot orientated, you could increase it's range instead of nerfing the duration. That's what I'm thinking at least. I don't exactly want this change implemented, I'm simply asking for other people's thoughts on it.

Boohoo? I mean, your justification here is rather weak. Seems more rooted in emotion than logic.

while being point and click,

Having some of these in the game is important, its why Vi has her ultimate. With the advent of how mobile champs have been getting this is especially important.

which is not exactly counterplay.

Unlike a stun or root, polymorh gives you the chance, opportunity to actually walk away.

It promotes uninteractiveness because the counterplay is limited to staying outside it's range.

Holy buzzterm word salad, i don't think you know what uninteractiveness is.

An important thing to remember is that if Lulu uses her speed boost on an Ally, then she is unable to use Polymorph and vice versa until the spell is back up since they share a spell.

This gives you a window to work within.

It doesn't promote uninteractiveness so much as it decentivizes mindless forced all-ins. The choice she has to make between Polymorph and speed boost and the down time it makes in between the two is in of itself interactive.

Believe it or not, there are plenty of situations where using the speedboost is actually better than polymorph and vice versa.

My making it a perhaps more skillshot orientated,

Stop right there. I wasn't expecting you to have actually played Lulu enough to make any real judgement on this (your post about thinking her polymorph was on her E says enough :P) but come on now. I don't think you actually stopped to think this through. The ability not only doesn't not make sense as a skill shot but it literally cannot become one. Unless you wan to make her speed boost a skillshot as well, meaning she's also be able to not only MISS a speed boost..... but she'd never be able to reliably use the one she wants in a fight due to everyone clumping together.

...unless you want it to polymorph and speed boost every ally/enemy in its path at the same time as opposed to stopping at the first person hit, (which would not only take away the whole "choice" aspect of the spell but would quite frankly be utterly broken)

you could increase it's range instead of nerfing the duration. That's what I'm thinking at least. I don't exactly want this change implemented, I'm simply asking for other people's thoughts on it.

Terrible change. Polymorph doesn't benefit from the increased range to any degree. It isn't a damage, pick or harass tool. It is a disabling/disengage tool.

If theoretically we were to change it, this would in no way be anything resembling compensation to any degree.

When Veigar's Q was made a skillshot, it compensated him by having him be able to harass and farm with it from a much safer range. When Taric's E became a skillshot, the benefited him by being AoE. When Rengar's E became a skillshot, it benefited him by being a much better catch/pick/chasing tool with the increased range. When Fiora's Q became a skill shot it benefited her by giving her unconditional mobility.

If Lulu's Polymorpph was given this as a change, it would devolve it into a longer ranged non-damaging single target slow, so basically an worse version of her current Q. (didn't think it was possible)

I'm all for lowering its duration as long as that power is put elsewhere in her kit, which is where the idea i had of a "Shrink" debuff on her passive came from.

He isn't my main anymore but here we go. Rengar Revert Ferocity and Q Bring back cc immunity but remove CC cleanse on W, allows for more outplay potential from Rengar and makes the spell more interesting Make R targeting by choosing your target like kindred selects her marks.
