What if draven were more like jhin and graves?

He just has spinning axes. If he drops them he could have literally zero dps. No autos other than his spinning axes. Like azir, he has to take q lvl 1. You can then allow his axes to fall in a more favorable manner. Like directly under him when standing still, and falling closer and faster to him when kiting. So he only moves a little before catching another axe.

Right now, his risk comes in that you are nothing if you dont snowball, but hes kinda weak in a snowball meta even though that doesnt really fit. He also has some risk in the only part of his kit, the q, that actually is useful.

Now, his risk should be, "drop an axe and become useless for 4 seconds". Instead he halfway fills that risk, and has this extra risk "die even once before you snowball and you are useless no matter how good you are with your axes".

I dont like that he has a macro weakness on a champion that is mostly about micromanagement of his axes.

I imagine the trade off will be "get hit by an axe and lose half your HP"

He is already bullshit enough when you can play him effectively he doesn't need to be more feast or famine.

No. The trade off will be some safety in return for the reduction in dps.
