the problem I have is when I am playing a champion with devourer enchant and I am clearing a camp, the laner will come and steal just the big monster while I am actively clearing it .-. 1 you get less gold than I do from it 2 you are costing me more than just gold STOP DOING THAT

TheKingDodo3 votes

Not just devourer. all junglers need specific camps buffs which is relevant even late game.

SH Azykan3 votes

You can get the buff without clearing them, hell I will smite the enemy camps and not even kill a single one of them just for the buff at times (usually their raptors or krugs) if I need to get somewhere to gank quickly and running rangers/poachers.

Honestly if a laner that scales insanely hard on gold takes a small raptor or 2 when I am clearing them without killing the big one just from their aoe damage I really don't mind. Effective gold distribution is highly important and I have started playing many junglers that dont require much farm to be effective, or I split push mid game and get farmed up from that anyways.

Devourer is just the worst case scenario for steals; and I am not sure if it is just ignorance (they dont realize that I need the big one for stacks) or if it is negligence (they feel them getting that gold is more valuable because lol solo que I have to solo carry my team).

Also if I am ganking bot lane and enemy top is mia with their first tower down and the wave is pushing...feel free to take my camp near you then group up with us. By the time I'd be going back there to take that camp it is probably going to be back up, and I'd rather you get that camps exp/gold than risk you getting ganked top from trying to farm a heavily pushed lane. Time and place for everything

LatetotheRace1 votes

I've only had that happen once, if that happens all you need to do is tell them to stop. If the insist on damaging their own team, then report them. There will be no changes to the jungle to specifically change this, but the least you can do is help riot weed out the people who refuse to cooperate.

Team thinks just because laning phase is over for them means I don't need my chicken buffs anymore :/ dat logic

This one Lissandra sat there taking my Chickens until she was at 20% HP, went back to lane, then got one-shot by the enemy mid laner.

The logic is too strong.

You can survive in the new jungle long enough to get to the small camps? Do tell!

I don't understand why people do this, I mean I don't play jungle often but never have I once taken a jungle camp at any part during the game unless I asked. Since lvl 1 I understood that I have my lane to farm in and the jungler has their camps. They don't come into my lane and take my cs just because its there so why should I have the right to go into theres and take theirs. I also don't have a problem if the jungler comes to my lane for a gank and takes 3 or so minions either, just a courtesy I think for them coming to my lane and helping me. I will never understand why alot of people cant understand that.

EDIT: I would also like to add that I never ask for a buff, if you want to offer it to me then yes I will take it. They are more important to you then they are to me when I can go buy some mana pots if its blue. But never will I ask if I can have it.

Stop leaving your jungle camps sitting there for 5 minutes. It's a waste.

Stop leaving your jungle camps sitting there for 5 minutes. It's a waste.

Why does it matter? Laners get a lane to farm and junglers don't, junglers get more gold out of it and the buffs are useful for smiting. Laners are selfish and will take the camps the moment it spawns and even take it while the jungler is doing them. I actually had a mid intentionally feed just because I refused to let him take my camps once.

disregardable4 votes

The game is about the team, not you. :) The team gets more gold if it gets killed once every 2 minutes than if it gets killed once every 5 minutes, even if you aren't the one receiving the gold.

then dlnt get mad if a jungler goes to your lane and smite the canon minion, because its a team game

disregardable2 votes

I generally don't, it's only when he stays and taxes for like TWO WHOLE WAVES when he's still got farm in the jungle. Like bro. Go tax mid or something.

That happened to me last week. Except the jungler apparently wasn't satisfied eating just one full wave, because they then moved up my lane to intercept the next wave, too. I think I got about 2 cs from that second wave.

I still have no idea why they even came to my lane in the first place.

Enraged Piglet2 votes

ya I don't mind it if your actually doing something like pushing the wave like your suppose to after a succerful gank so everyone can back. But coming to lane for no reason and no enemies and taxing 3 or more waves when you were trying to freeze the wave then saying it's nothing and does it again...

Enraged Piglet2 votes

they don't get shit out of it if your not taking them and won't be there for 5 mins because your camping the other side of the map. Also this goes the other way around if I had a quarter for everytime a master yi jungler came into my lane for no reason and stole about 20 minions and soaked tons of exp then leave without doing anything I would be well set for life.

sometimes a laner needs about 110 gold for something but needs to back as soon as possible.

Though ofc there are times when laners take every single camp and lane then you can whine but that's not what were talking about when we say they leave the camps there for 5 mins.

STOP BEING AFK COMMENTING ON THE BOARDS AND PLAY THE GAME

Rikari2 votes

You do know its now possible to clear the entire jungle right? Every camp has a high cooldown now,we don't need your help clearing them unless you want to see warwick pushing your lane. btw if you are 0/3/0 by 10 minutes don't bother asking for my blue.

Aboylova924 votes

Generally what I do, at least with the champs I play, is I just steal the enemies camps when possible. As someone like Malz, you can almost insta kill them, at full hp, just going to hurt your mana a bit, and severely harm the enemy jungler's level. Unfortunately since that carries some risk, and requires wards, it's something I rarely see done.

SexyTaylorSwift4 votes

Then stop taking minions in lane when your ganks are so bad that you don't burn any summoners or get a single hit.

1/ You come to my lane when I'm away for cs, I don't even mind the fact that lane would be pushed which costs me a lot of gold/XP later on. Same logic applies, I can take some camps when you are away.

2/ The camps sit there for 5 minutes, because I was around to guard it, not you. If I didn't check every couple of minutes, the other jungler would have stolen it anyway.

3/ I don't need your gank, but if I was to get ganked, you need to balance the scale. There are only 2 ways to get back from a losing lane, either I will miraculously win a stronger opponent, or I will have to seek another source of income, aka jungle camps.

Xonra3 votes

Nothing drives me more crazy. Had a friggin top wukong in my game yesterday and everytime my blue spawned if I was ganking a lane (mid or bot) he would every time rush down (even losing his tower one time doing it) and steal my blue, telling me he needed it.

Guess who didn't get any ganks that game?

Enraged Piglet1 votes

if it wasn't wukong it would probably be the enemy jungler. I mean not being there when it spawns several times in a game is almost asking for the enemy jungler to steal it and if he's not stealing it he's counter ganking you. I don't jungle much but one thing I know is that you should be at your buffs when they spawn 80% of the time or more.

I don't jungle much but one thing I know is that you should be at your buffs when they spawn 80% of the time or more.

I was counter ganking, so pretty sure unless the jungler was a magician then he wasn't doing anything of the sort. The only reason it spawned awkwardly enough to be an issue was because the wukong took it the first time while I was counter ganking bot lane. Also if you don't jungle much you really can't say much to when you should or shouldn't be at your buffs. Your teammates are far more important than your red or blue, it doesn't matter what the situation is.

If you choose to go to your blue buff and let your laner die when you could very easily have helped or even turned a fight in your favor then you should uninstall the game because you are an asshat and far from a team player. The only reason the Wu was able to continuously take the buff was because it was spawning from that point on about the same as my red, and at that time I was trying to keep lane pressure up to counteract the enemy jungler who was gank happy, and Wu chose to continue to take it, as I said above, even losing his own turret in the process at one point just to take it.

So...just all sorts of no to your entire reply. Just because I'm not sitting there at my buff in a lawn chair when it spawns doesn't mean you as a laner can just come have at it for free, you are now putting me behind, you get less gold for it anyways, now I get no gold at all, and you are only frustrating your jungler and making them less likely to want to help you.

Demonsolder213 votes

Your mom needs those jungle buffs.

SelflessTeammate3 votes

This happened literally 10 minutes ago with a top-laning Teemo who said, "i need red", then tried to take our Red without permission while I was almost next to it and about to clear it. Since he wouldn't stop auto-attacking, I smote it (wasting my Chilling Smite, which I needed because the middle lane was about to be pushed) so he couldn't steal it, and he responded in kind with the typical "report noob jungler" string of insults and trolling.

I completely empathize.

We arent talking about midgame are we.. At that point they are fair game

Enraged Piglet1 votes

they should be because if it's late game where almost no one can farm or has time to take any jungle camps exept after acing the enemy and taking dragon ect before rushing back to your roles for trying to win the game... Then early game almost no one can take the jungle camps for themselves if they wanted to. And if laners do get fed enough to take your camps early then they shouldn't take them when you are nearby with the possible exeption of taking them for that 100 gold to back for an item so that you can carry the game because your already fed and just need the item to do so.

Wînter Fox4 votes

Yes, I'm talking about mid game - especially mid game. Do you not realize that the camps are a jungler's only source of exp/gold outside of kills/assists? Everything's fine if we're getting kills and winning. But if not? Not only do I have the enemy team in my jungle soaking up my gold/exp - that's bad enough, but now I have to worry about my own team doing it too? Then I'm 2 levels behind everyone else for the next teamfight and I get blown up and blamed for not being tanky enough.

Xonra4 votes

No, they really aren't. If your jungler pings you to get red then do it, but usually that is just the adc. Nothing is as annoying as needing a blue and being oom, but your generic laner goes and takes it because reasons, but then expects you to start a fight at less than half mana as they run in screaming and pinging for you to engage. Guess why I have no mana knob head, because you took my blue 3 minutes ago.

You have your own lane, go get your xp and gold from there, otherwise don't complain when I don't help you next time because you are starving me out by taking the minion wave AND my jungle. That is a big go eff yourself from anyone that has ever jungled. All you need is 500 gold for your item, but your mid lane jumps in and clears the wave, then runs and takes your chickens, then takes your red buff, and you still can't afford your item while everyone is yelling at you for not engaging while they are 2 items ahead....hm I can't imagine why I'm as a jungler behind in gold when everyone believes "your jungle is free game now, I'm out of laning phase, good luck getting gold again this game".

lol yeah try playing jungle for 5 straight games in ranked, then come back and tell me if you still agree with this opinion.

DrNova1 votes

well maybe midgame isnt precise enough, but I'm talking about once laning has pretty much ended as a dedicated thing, and its mostly teamfights with splitpushing on the side or whatever, since at that point all lane mobs are usually up for grabs whoever wants to go push a lane, and everyone is roaming. At that point I dont feel laners have claim to lane minions either. least it never works out like that.

I dont mean take jungle mobs when clearly jungle is still in jungle and lanes are still laning

As long as I'm doing well I don't care if they take red or blue buff. I tend to get angry when top takes from from me while I play Rammus. If a laner takes your camps tell them not to expect early ganks then.

CharQueen1 votes

I'm an ADC. Usually. And sometimes I get stupid OP. And when I get stupid OP, I clear Jungle Camps. But I never steal them from a team-mate. Shocks me how inconsiderate some players are. There is a reason why I don't last-hit Dragon.

TheI3igDaddy1 votes

Hey, if I'm laning with Cho and my ult's up, I'm going to eat a little guy (assuming it's not Gromp) so you can take the big one. I'm nice like that. :)

Magma Lux Mid1 votes

Once laning phase is over, go ahead and farm my lane if I'm not there. If I back and you decide to hold lane during laning phase, please either just last hit or push it into tower to reset and not freeze on the enemy's side.

Sirin Gioro1 votes

As an ADC (and support main), I only take camps when I see the jungler is at the opposite side of the map. I only ask for red buff during late game if I'm doing well.

Jari1 votes

When I'm laning I will ALWAYS ask first and give my reason why. An example was when I was 100g away from IE and I didn't want to sit around for that. I was going to lane and notice the Grump/Golems up and I asked first and said it's so I can get IE. I got an OK and it worked out well. At the very least state your reasonings.

BRUTALhugs1 votes

If you are on the total opposite side of the map and a camp is up and has been for a minute or two, I'm taking it. It will probably respawn by the time you get back that way.

1nconceivable1 votes

As laning for top and mid I normally don't take your stuff. When I can, I put deep wards in their jungle and coordinate steals instead. The only times I take blue as a mid laner is when they ask me to, we get the enemy blue, or if the other enemy mid laner has blue and I need it to counteract their pushing and roaming (100% of the time the jungler agrees with this).

I never notice it as a jungler because I'm normally in the enemy jungle too much to notice my teammates stealing it. (shaco player here)

Ha. I know the feeling. I can't count how many times I've had an ADC take my jungle while they have a huge wave in their own lane storming down the map. It makes no sense at all.
