You have to feel sorry for the mains of a champ before their main became a flavor of the month champion. Just like my udyr, granted it takes slightly longer to clear jungle, but Udyr will always be my jungle main even after the nerfs. I'm kinda worried for Karma after she gained popularity with being played for the LCS but that's because Lulu got nerfed hard.

Not to mention bad rep a champ gets from other circumstances, especially for Udyr mains like us who picked him up because he's cool as hell.

I didn't even know who trick2g was...

Troll for Trump7 votes

Udyr is basically another Yi-esque champ... so huck Udyr,

Rinky Dinky9 votes

They literally have nothing in common other than sometimes their jungle item, which won't even be the case anymore after 6.9

Troll for Trump2 votes

Cheese jgl, farms a ton, high movement speed but lack of blinks/dashes, really annoying to play against, strong splitpushers, attackspeed reliant if devourers(Udyr has some variance with Runic+Phoenix Stance), Has the annoying thing of being Tanky, Sticky, (Iceborn Gauntlet/Zzrot/RedBuff/Younameit), and still doing a lot of damage.

Warding helps but that's a generic answer to everything. Positioning is almost impossible since they are basically always eitherflanking or splitpushing, as opposed to blowing things up in teamfights, so you have to engage on him, and he's impossible to chase down. Once again, high MS/stickiness prevents kiting.

high movement speed but lack of blinks/dashes Yi literally has a blink

The rest of the comment is filled with similar falsehoods

Troll for Trump2 votes

Yi....doesn't have a blink. It's situational and he doesn't need it. It's much more so the invulnerability and tankiness that lets him cheese the fights.

Baron of Bread2 votes

It is still a blink which can be very nice for closing distances or chasing people as they try to put walls between them and you.

Jungle Lux God9 votes

Jungle item depends on how you are playing Udyr.

Phoenix Udyr would probably still build Echoes or Cinderhulk, but Tiger Udyr would definitely be building either Warrior or Bloodrazor, which would also be what Master Yi would be building.

What is wrong with master Yi?

Troll for Trump3 votes

Nothing as of present, but basically Tank YI when that was around.

HighH15 votes

tank yi is still mostly around, the nerfs did fuck all

Troll for Trump2 votes

Yi has had his play rate decrease significantly.

It's kinda like how everyone dropped the Talon bandwagon after Riot nerfed his R.

Tank Yi will always be around, he's just not op anymore.

Think about it, your a Yi main, you 2nd pick yi, your top comes a tryndamere/teemo, your support is morgana, and you have a lb mid.

Unless you have no game sense you will be building some tank cause you team needs it.

Fucking this. I liked picking him because he has a manageable enough lane where blind picking him isn't super scary in ranked. I liked playing AP Ekko. I played Tankko twice just to see if it was broken and it is but damn man think of us AP Ekko players.

TonyTonyMordecai1 votes

I played Tank Ekko when it was an offbuild sort of thing, and it was ok, but I didn't feel like I was doing any damage. The moment I like playing Ekko mid and I'm starting to get the hang of him, he starts getting banned because of the tank build. Sucks when my choices are limited because of one thing.

The itemization was in the game for a while fiora got nerfed and people realized that playing Ekko tank was actually pretty legit. Sunfire frozen fist is just a good itemization combo that I have liked for years but buffs to both have made them oppressive especially with the introduction of keystones.

Felt the same when Riot buffed Veigar when assassins were out of the meta and it was more about control mages. Veigar was banned 100% of the time and then he just got nerfed right after he was buffed, then assassins like LB, Zed, and Fizz became meta again and these items became extremely popular item 3156 item 3139 item 3053.

Don't even speak of it I couldn't take it if they wrecked her again.

Dessem3 votes

Well, Trundle's played a lot, and they indirectly buffed him by removing counterplay to his ult. Wouldn't immediately think that means Karma's going to be nerfed again, though I rather expected it after her E buff...

MisterShameless1 votes

They'll either tone down her E a bit or revert it as it never really needed the buff in the first place.

Dessem1 votes

Riot historically doesn't like reverting, so I wouldn't be surprised if they took some of her offensive power away to pay for the E buff down the road.

MisterShameless2 votes

They're learning to. They reverted Xin's buffs shortly after buffing him, so I'm hoping that's all they will consider doing at most.

TheWeatherWax1 votes

Honestly? They really need to fix Karma, the only reason she's really seeing any play is the nerf to Lulu's utility. Karma really doesn't excel at anything (not saying she's a bad champ but she's an overall utility champ with nothing that is really her own).

MisterShameless3 votes

Karma is a Jack of all trades, master of none champion. This is why she fails to fill in most of her roles because her kit doesn't focus on a single role and dedicate to it. So no matter how they buff her numbers, she will be lackluster/fall off late game.

True, I been playing Ekko since he released basically. He was my first champion I ever bought, first login screen that I saw, and I wanted him. I got over 200k mastery with him on different accounts. Honestly Ekko has always been a strong pick if you mastered him. He's always been good as a tank before it became a thing and popular due to lcs play. He's still strong as a tank with the base damage nerfs mainly due to his strong passive procs.
I was building tank on him before it became popular. Well, 2 or 3 AP items, then tank.

I still like him tho, his theme, look is all cool, the voice acting is good.

Wait til people get on the tank Fizz train that seems to be slowly increasing and yeah Udyr is cool, still strong in my opinion.

Bro you have no fucking idea!

I've been a Rengar main for years now, and you know how many times he's been up and down the scales? I mean not even to mention how he always seems to pop up to fotm out of nowhere and gets perma banned for a bit then out of another random direction he's all of a sudden an awful champ and I get flamed for even picking him..... this has happened 3-4 times now, the whole god damn cycle! lol

This rollercoaster is tearing me apart! xP

Also how he's supposed to be and was originally designed and then reworked to be a fucking fighter/bruiser champ, and now I get flamed for not going glass-canon-suicide-explosive-cat no matter how fucking well I'm personally performing, forget that Korea plays him top tank still, I'm the asshole for doing it and winning lane but not being able to carry 4 fucking morons who fed the whole early game..... OBVIOUSLY it's all my fault cause I didn't build as an assassin in top lane against another fucking tank.....

Being a Rengar main is just no fucking fun sometimes.... I also used to main Aatrox.... and we all know how that's currently going..... lol

That's why I love being a Malzahar main

Even if people call him a bad/mediocre/unviable champion I know that this is not true. I know that people will not play him and he will not get nerfed. Because he will not get popular, I can play him safely without the fear of him being nerfed or banned in games.

I will also not be flamed for how I am building, unless I am building AD. ALso, people that don't know how to play him will never pick him because he is not popular, therefore his winrate will always be high.

Well, at least that's until his future rework. Peharps the new Malzahar can prove to be OP and then he will become popular and get nerfed... Let's see what will happen.

I would rather have my favorite champion be called a bad/mediocre champion than people calling it OP/cancer because the latter means there is a risk of that champion getting nerfed.

TheWeatherWax3 votes

Well... Until the buffs... I suspect nerf-land will be coming when his rework comes into play. He looks scary!

Though it's more like she got love tapped and becomes a solo laner forever because of 95% of everyone's playstyles.

I can never get the people who thinks the only way to balance a champion is to completely erase them off the game. There is a way to balance them with out deleting them. Btw, I usually always wreck my enemy junglers when I play Kha or Rengar. It's FUUUUN :D [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Or maybe just learn to play against him and find out what works against him instead of being so negative? He is still a way healthier champion than many other "OPs" or anti fun champs out there.

I have mained Ekko since his release (mid btw, none of that FOTM tank Ekko stuff), and whether I face him top (yes even against tank ekko before the nerf) or mid I have little to no problems against him. Granted he has been feeling stronger and stronger after the few tweaks and buffs he received a few patches ago. And then with the surge of Ekko he did feel strong playing him and seeing him being played, but don't pretend for even just a second he is the worst one out there. There's many many more champions that deserve the term you just used.

It is all a matter if you know how to deal with him. I personally know him pretty well so I don't find him such a "cancerous tumor". Maybe you just have to find out the what the key to beating him is.

Can't you also admit that Ekko has been deemed "cancer" like you say, only thanks to the popularity of TANK Ekko in competitive scene? Except now people are not even able to play him AP mid or in the jungle, regardless of him being slightly nerfed again as well.

Complain about him all you want, but you CAN beat him. You CAN counter him. If you want the lazy and easy way out and ban him out, be my guest. But don't give us this almighty arrogant attitude, especially from someone who plays Riven, and especially Malzhar frequently! Which unless you are oblivious are both viewed from MANY in the same way you just described Ekko. Oh the hypocrisy.

EDIT: my reference to the OP's champions is simply to show that what he deems cancer can be the same exact way someone else views his champions. So he shouldn't be so hasty to judge another champion. Furthermore he's done so without any discussion or arguments to offer.

I am an Ekko main and i could tell that everyone here who doesnt like him, refuse to countler play, they just play the same no matter what, it is so easy to play around him, dodge his q return dodge his stun, its easy as can be, i just get lucky to play with people that refuse to change their playstyle

Krys Star9 votes

Must be why he's holding the highest ban for the past month, with a very high win rate when you take his ban rate into consideration. Dodge his Q, avoid his stun, but there's no playing around a champion who can build tanky and get away with it because of high base damage, with an ult that gives him a second chance.

Riot needs to neuter his base damages and give him ap ratios. I'd much rather he be a glass cannon that takes a risk for his role, than a tank that exceeds at his role.

kaltenashes1 votes

what happened was that rito buffed ekko in the patch before last patch and his ban rate increased

but then rito nerfed him last patch and his ban rate decreased

and tank ekko, since last nerf, lost his damage

Krys Star7 votes

What really happened, and I'm not making this up, is that two Rioters said Ekko has an overloaded kit that is hard to balance. 3 weeks later, they buff him, and then he gets out of control and is dominating everything. So then he becomes a highly contested pick and ban, gets nerfed, but it barely did much but drop his win rate by like, 3.94%, which may seem like a lot but his win rate is at roughly 54%, which is a staggering amount when you consider he is banned in nearly 70% of games. That's a lot less games for Ekko to play, meaning his win rate would be much higher than that.
