My farm in jungle is usually low, but I am having a major impact on the game..

I am very confident in the jungle at my current elo. I rarely get beat in jungle, my overall impact on the game is USUALLY MUCH better than my opponents.

Don't get me wrong, I know I have a ton of things to work on, but my major concern right now is farm. In an average game of 20 minutes, my farm is somewhere between 50-90 farm, which is an embarrasing 3-4 minions per minute. Also, I notice that if my early ganks dont work out, I just farm my ass off and come back during the mid game.

I don't see it impact my games though. I still have no trouble fighting enemies or clearing objectives. I have a major focus on objectives like dragon herald and first tower/blood, and my vision score is ALWAYS excellent. So since I don't see my abysmal farm affecting my game, is this just a personal problem?

My win rate sits around 65% in low gold.

My question is:

When do you find time to farm in the jungle? Should I worry about the low numbers even if I'm having a major impact on the game?

Edit: I just went through and looked at my gold totals for each match.. Im pretty much on par with everyone else in the game with me, despite my farm being far less than theirs.

It doesn't matter, jungle catchup experience is absurd, as long as you do raptors you won't be more than a level behind.

And sad thing - this is only slight exaggeration.

I think riot is nerfing this in the preseason.

From what I have seen. Since I like to OT WW JG. I ignore all lanes, unless I'm 95% sure it will end up a kill. Eventually I start to outfarm the Enemy JG that is fail ganking. Eventually increasing my Lead to Double the CS and having maybe 1 and a half to 2 item Lead a head of them. If your team can play safe. You will eventually be able to fight the enemy JG and take their JG. Thus snowballing yourself and making the enemy JG make mistakes. Trying to force plays.

when a main jungler realize that ganking is better than afk farm the whole game...now enjoy the easy carry

seriously, the jungler have an insane impact on the game, you can solo win a game babysitting a lane (especially if you can tilt your enemies, they may RQ,flaming and making mistakes),giving pressure or taking objectives,or invading enemy jungler if your lanes are winning so they can't comeback,as long as you do these things you can have 20 CS at 20 and still easy win a game (take twitch jungler as example, most players will end up to get behind as farm but if he did a nice job he could go afk and still win a game as hard his lanes are snowballed) about how much farm you should get,it depends, some jungler have to farm much more than others (like yi or shiv),some need to gank/countergank (like lee sin) or counterjungling (nunu)

helping your team/exerting too much pressure can also backfire easily if your laners aren't as competent as you might wish they were. in theory yes getting your darius 3 free kills should win the game or at least make things easy for a while but that isn't always the case... which is also why i ended up always feeling like i sucked at jungle. usually had lower farm and what i did didn't feel like the right choice ever

True, which is why my win rate is only 65 ish %. Sometimes I get my lanes fed, get drags, first blood, towers, and we still end up losing:P win some lose some lol

Low farm is probably going to hold you back from climbing, depending on who you jungle with. now if you are ganking and taxing, that'll mitigate things a bit. If you are getting snowbally champs a chance to snowball, that'll help.

And thats my concern. I hit gold last season, and havent felt like im ready to climb to the next division yet, but now im confident in my ability, and will be shooting for platinum next season. Just need to polish a few of these mistakes I recognize to get started:P

It depends on what junglers you play, but also an easy way to get farm is to make sure you dont run through riven much. It sounds silly I know, but make sure you farm some. The other big thing is if you are 5/0, try to put that pressure on the enemy jg. They shouldn't be able to free farm.

Oh trust me the enemy jungler is a mudhole by the time i hit 5-0 :P

My name triggers alot of people (for some reason), and they try to invade or make bad decisions early game purely to spite my name. I don't know how many times I've heard...

"Huh, guess im the BETTER JUNGLER."

You would not believe how often this happens.

But more often than that, they try to invade to steal my buffs, or get a cheesy kill, and just end up dying to my team collapsing or getting 1 v 1'd by me.
