The problem with League is... Nobody cares about League...

Play a game of League, you'll see people using every unfair advantage to win the game. They know its not fair but they will still use it anyway, regardless of if it makes them feel shitty or not. Yet Riot expects to get feedback from these kinds of people. I understand that people want to win, what I don't understand is WHY people feel that winning at ANY cost is acceptable behaviour. (Maybe I'm too British to understand that)

I believe a fair fight is a lot more fun then an unfair one and yet I get abuse in game when I point out the blatant power creep that has infected the game over numerous years. Compare Xerath and Velkoz's Q, to Zoe's Q and yet Zoe is the same type of champ who beats BOTH on DAMAGE AND MOBILITY. How is that not power creep?

I just find it sad that nobody cares about the state of the game, they just want to use it, consume it and move onto other things, like parasites. People complain about damage but they never want to see THEIR top tier meta pick nerfed. That is NOT how it works. The community is completely disjointed and not unified against Riot's terrible decisions because everyone is so obsessed with themselves.

Give a little thought to the people you are playing against for once. Think... "if I take this Zoe, Pyke etc, am I going to ruin somebodies game and make the game unfun for other people?" Because if the game becomes unfun for all the people that DON'T play these champions (which are deliberately overloaded and power crept so they sell) then people are going to leave and the community will suffer.

Don't just think about YOU all the time. Show some compassion. Be human and not just a soulless voice on the internet. Be unique.

If this game dies, that is YEARS down the drain the only one that wins is Riot who laughs all the way to the bank with the billions they've made so far. Don't support this current business strategy. Send Riot an actual message that we want this game to stay around, don't act like "Oh well, I'll just go play something else".

League of Legends is a game of competition. When players play a game of competition we get the greatest shot of dopamine, responsible for the feeling of pleasure, when we win the game. Losing feels significantly worse than winning, therefore in order to maintain the surge of dopamine we fight to win at all costs. I forgot where I saw this but there was a documentary on winning and losing. Essentially the emotional cost of losing a game is twice as powerful as the gain from winning a game.

It isn't surprising that most people, myself included from time to time, will use whatever broken mechanic or champion to win. This is how meta develops. Professional players, teams, and coaches find the most optimal path to victory and they practice and practice to perfection. This is especially true when you have money and sponsorships on the line.

I would like nothing more than to be able to play my support Cho'Gath in ranked but I know if I don't play a carry support like Zyra, Brand, or someone similar at my ELO, I will never climb out of gold because it isn't optimal.

I disagree, I know people want to win but winning when you greatly outclass your opponent is NOT a fun win or a solid victory. If you really take this so seriously, I suggest you go see a psychotherapist because you clearly have issues. The LCS was the worst thing that ever happened to games like this because they give players the delusion that they can somehow make a living off this and suprisingly, they can't. Twitch streamers and LCS stars only play for a little while before they fall from popularity and its a very fake way to live your life.

you can disagree all you want, it doesn't make anything he said any less true. Seek a psychotherapist for what? wanting to win? please look at actual studies about competitive behavior instead of saying that others have issues just because you "disagree with them". I have yet to see Scarra, QT, T1 or any of these other people "fall" from popularity also how is it a "fake" way to live someone's life? because they are not doing what you want them to do? people live their lives however they want. So many people make a living by streaming games on twitch, making LPs, making random YT videos. So what are you going to tell me about all those people? sorry to say this but you are in no position whatsoever to tell anyone that they need to seek any sort of help nor how to live their life. Now please stop spouting nonsense
