Know what would be a neat feature? An (optional) "email me every time there is a new patch" feature.

That way, if I have something scheduled (eg: I want to participate in a tournament, ranked teams, etc) I won't be surprised with an hour-long patch if I haven't logged in yet today. I will get an email (which, if it goes to your phone, will be seen immediately) and know that I need to go open my league client early.

EDIT: Why did I get downvoted? Not everyone refreshes the news page multiple times per day like a League crack addict.

I don't want ALL the news updates emailed to me. JUST the patches. Which is like 2-3 updates per month out of the thousands posted to their FB/twitter (which I would honestly just ignore as spam tbh - so I wouldn't even see the patch update).

What if people don't have a Facebook...I think this is a really good idea, too.

SurrenderAt20 should solve your problem. I dunno the exact URL, just google it. But they post League News before it's posted on the website. You can usually find out about the patches a day or two in advance. They even give the exact times that the servers will be shut down. Just check the site once a day and when you find out a patch is going to be released you can plan accordingly.

PS. I'm pretty sure patches are generally scheduled for every two weeks, not always (this one was three)

I like how Riot has effectively killed the support role, and still hasn't even addressed the issue.

@Riot: please do not add "channel blink" as a rune. It will make flash EVEN MORE mandatory.
