Can anyone explain how viable Veigar is anymore?

So he has Low health, low mana, low resistance, high mana cost, high cd, low auto damage, low move speed. His stun can be easily dodged and or traveled through or moved over. His Dark matter can be easily dodge by anyone with over 385 move speed. Regardless of how you build him he never gets where he needs to be unless he's fed like crazy in the early game and even then a match has to take 30+ minutes for his passive to mean anything. So lets hear it. How is he currently seen as balanced? Sure on a long enough timeline his abilities one shot anyone but those are the 0.000001% cases of games going far too long.

Try transcendence + cosmic insight. Flex options : scaling CDR and two defensive. You don't need the ap, you can gain it in a minute with q.

Basically to get CDR capped (overcapped even for transcendence) ASAP for more q's and scale asap...

Veigar can't roam at all, you just run teleport and mostly stay in lane for 15 minutes. TP to move anywhere cuz he's dead in the river...

It's easy. He isn't. Little guy has a lot of problems. No escape, low stats, has mana issues because of q farm, ect and it all stems from the fact that he can get infinite AP.

Old stun guaranteed a kill because it was instant so they gave it a delay. Cool.

W was basically unchanged.

Q is a skill shot that hits two things. Cool.

Ulti was basically gutted. It needed to be but not like this. Lower damage overall and the execution is pointless because if you are at 33% health as a squishy and he presses R, you are gonna die without the extra damage unless you are ulting a take and in that case, why are you ulting a tank? And here's where the problem really starts. His ult doesn't do jack shit unless you are low. To put it into perspective, A lvl 18 veigar with 1000 ap can't one shot a lvl 7 jhin because of its new execution mechanic.

And why is it like this? Who knows? Maybe making it so it was easier to get ap through his passive was a bad idea. By giving him that you have to make it so all his other abilities are so horrendously weak that if he gets fed he doesn't auto win. Yes horrendous is an overstatement but it gets the point across. His W might as well be his ulti since that is usually most of his damage in his combo.

Tank Veigar is pretty fun.

Veigar is pretty good with item 3030 ... alot of people are still building item 3285 though, probably because they don't realize the massive synergy GLP has with his kit. Also his passive is not negligable for 30 min, it's very relevant with item 3089 and is why you can get that item third or even second if you're ahead. He's very good with skirmishes, and although many people have dashes, not that many have blinks so you can definitely manage to cage even mobile champs.

Veigar is one of THE BEST champions in league of legends right now. his W can get up to 0 sec CD with his passive. his E can Fuck up enemy team in team fights. and over all its coolest champ ever

If you want to play him mid - just pick Syndra.

I play him often times botlane as a support (also Ziggs). He is good with Vayne, because she can knock them away into the cage. As long there is no Katarina, Zed, Kassadin, Ezrael, Yi, Vladimir in the game, he is fine - these champion can jump through the cage. I guess everything else is a skill matchup - very long ranged champions also will beat him naturally, so don't pick him, if there is Xerath etc

He's doing fine currently everywhere apart from support. Just has some bad matchups. Overall, a pretty safe pick.
