i love and hate being a support main
it just seems like if anything goes wrong in bot lane it's automatically the support's fault.
ex. i pick bard to go with caitlyn. good right? we have ranged cc, long range poke, and ample escapes/ways to lock down a kill along with solid self sustain. the cait is a supposed gold smurf
the cait is hard pushing bot(but not last hitting well at all. i keep telling her to back off, last hit and just let them kills come to her. she continues to run right in the center of the minion wave trying to harass, gets a malph q followed by jinx traps, and dies fairly quickly. first thing she says is "wtf this bard is a troll"
so a few minutes later in the game and cait is still hard pushing like no one's business(and still missing a bunch of farm) akali comes from tri push(only area i didn't ward), and gets an easy kill on caitlyn, and then the whole botlane throws their ults at me. akali ganks 4 more times unsuccessfully.
meanwhile top and mid are getting super fed, but not roaming to bot even though its a constant party down there.
fast forward to the end of game, riven and our jg keep going out alone and getting murdered even after repeated attempts to get them to group with us.
finally last 2 teamfights come and we're fully grouped. i land some pretty clutch double stuns, and a near perfect ult. we end up killing 4 and ending the game.
first thing that's said in post game chat?
"this bard almost threw the game for us with his pick"
AND THAT, LADIES AND GENTLEMAN IS WHY I LOVE AND HATE SUPPORT AT THE SAME TIME
because i felt like i was making a difference, and it was apparent in teamfights i was making a difference, but because i'm 1/7/13 in a tough game where we were outnumbered all laning phase, i'm a total noob and i need to get better stats according to my team.
screw KDA, if it wasn't for me tryharding super hard to prove these idiots wrong(and in vain), we would've thrown the small lead we had and hard lost the game. and i still get blamed
