How to increase my normals MMR to match my rank?..

Was plat during preseason with a 2150 MMR (according to op.gg) and just hit gold 2 recently, but for whatever reason.. during this entire time, I'm still being matched with almost entirely silvers and unranked players in norms. What gives?

I have a positive winrate in both ranked and norms, with quite a few more games won than lost.. but I cannot for the life of me get matched with someone even close to my rank, let alone the same rank or higher. It's making it difficult to practice the way I'd like.

Will this eventually catch up the more norms I play as a higher elo than my team/enemy?
