Yasuo's wind wall blocks more than projectiles.

A projectile is defined as anything where it ha only the force of gravity acting upon it. In league of Legends all abilities travel at a set speed if connected to the champion and still counted as a projectile(ex: Bitzcrank's rocket arm). I can not govern pure magic and energy abilities since i do not know if physics apply.

Now I can be lenient with that for abilities like Caitlyn's ult or Ahri's q. Those would be considered projectiles if the target and the champion remained stationary (negating the force of the ability's need to track its target).

But what cant and never will be a projectile, but still blocked by his wall, are:

  • Nami's ult. It is a wave. It physically has to be on the ground for the wave to form, thus giving it another force (normal force).
  • Braum's ult. It is a fissure (literally meaning the ground opens).
  • Lissandra's e. Moves along the ground, thus giving it another force (normal force).
  • Kog'Maw's e. I'll give you that it initially comes from his mouth, but at some point that ball is rolling on the ground, thus giving it another force (normal force).
  • Vel'koz's w. It is a rift. Its description clearly states it cuts through the ground.
  • Malphite's q. It rolls on the ground, thus giving it another force (normal force).
  • Zyra's e. Even in their cinematic it is shown coming out of the ground.
  • Draven's ult. I have no idea. It is considered a projectile by game code, but it is cutting through the ground(look in the picture for the ability, or in game sprite. But the description says he hurls it which implies it is airborne. I will let you decide that one.

they are counted as "projectiles" in the game. To much troll bait yasuo QQ posts

But they are not projectiles. Also I am not against Yasuo in really any way except this, I just want him to be consistent with what he blocks. That or Riot defines what they find a projectile to be.

Except that's not the definition of a projectile and is actually an impossible state for a projectile to be in since if the only force acting on it was gravity it could only move towards the gravitational pull.

There would need to be the force from whatever launched the projectile, air resistance for airborne projectile, and friction for grounded abilities.

you're definition is impossible.

Air resistance is almost always negated in physics. True that their can possible be no gravity, but then why do some aspects of gravity exist? Lastly that is the definition.

that is the physics definition.

but it's also doesn't consider the force that caused the inertia since it isn't actively effecting the "projectile".

however gravity is just the Primary force, even in physic definitions, the site is just using a simplified definition for teaching purposes.

An English definition of a projectile however applies to everything but fissure and rift.

The best one that it blocks is Jarvan's Q, the lance thrust. But it does not block his flag which he throws. Go figure.

this is a a trash bait.

League, being a game, does not follow real world physics. In League, projectiles are generally defined as any object or thing with a travel time that is not instantaneous. All of the things you listed have a object/thing with a non instantaneous travel time moving towards a point, and all of them are correctly negated by Yasuo's Windwall.

And as a side note, following real world physics for League would be horrible and utterly broken (oh look, graves one shot me again with an autoattack. Oh look, it's Brand vs Zyra, might as well afk. Oh look, Malphite ulted with enough force to force everyone into the air for over a second, guess we all died again).

Projectile, in league of legends , is anything that has a travel time between who casted and at the final range of the ability. If both times are equal, them is not a projectile

Yet another reason Yas needs reworked.
