Pretty please with sucrose on top, Improve Wit's End build path.

Valhalla Rising··101 votes·2,747 views

It's been suggesting multiple times but still doesn't build out of item 1057

Instead it's item 1043 item 1033 item 1042 +1050

When it should be item 1043 item 1057 item 1042 +780

PLEASE! I love the completed item and build it on multiple champions but the power delay is crippling, especially when behind.

Having an extra 15 MR from one of the component items would make a huge difference.

P.s. item 3105 build path isn't the greatest either but not nearly as bad.

Upvote for sucrose.

Same, science is cool. When I was little, an old man in a bow tie named Bill taught me that.

I prefer fructose, it's more natural.

But what about the classic flavor of glucose?

PDE5 Inhib2 votes

How so?

Irelia Bot2 votes

Just give me the hydrocarbons I don't care which ones just give me them

There's a hydrocarbon

It's Butane, so I don't think it will be that tasty

Irelia Bot2 votes

Now to use it to melt a hole in the wall to get in the sucrose factory.

Dalenthas1 votes

Fructose comes from fruit, sucrose comes from sugar cane. Sugar cane is still natural. Hell, if anything, High Fructose Corn Syrup is less natural than sucrose. Myself, I prefer lactose.

Sneakyy XD3 votes

It needs a hell of a lot more than better components.

hOrnn2 votes

youre looking at it in the wrong light, witts end is a really good item, its just not an adc attackspeed item, and it doesn't have to be theres already plenty of those..its been in the game forever and I hope they keep it just how it is.

sp4411 votes

The problem with Wit's End is that it's only good on a handful of champions.

Vistha Kai3 votes

Is the intended outcome of a comment like this, "...so it should be removed."?

My Waifu Vanilla1 votes

Except even on the Champions it's decent on it is still subpar. Yeah, Wit's End is pretty good on the likes of Shen, but it offers zero defensive stats outside of the MR so you will be squishier with very little reward when you could've just went SV or BV for MR.

Build it out of Stinger and the CDR might make the item a little better or give it health somewhere (since it is an item aimed at tanks anyway for the most part). The idea of the MR steal for tanks is fine but 2800 for basically ONLY that is too much.

sp4411 votes

...No. Not at all, I weep every time an item is removed, I want it to be better, not removed.

Vistha Kai2 votes

When a rework is done by Riot there's a 50/50 chance nothing, but the name will remain.

Care what you wish for.

Irelia Bot1 votes

It needs to be good on more then just high magic damage champs who auto attack a lot. That is why it is in such a bad place currently since only a few champs can justify it for the cost compared to how it was in season 2 where it was a good early to mid game item for 2000 to 2200, did not scale the best into late game given the slot efficency but gave a clear reason to be bought against magic damage dealers or armor stackers.

Weasel Kensei1 votes

I hope they keep it how it WAS, with 42 magic damage...

morris12 votes

What part of item 3105 build path isn't great? It's got really cheap components and the combine cost is only 400g.

TotalJerk2 votes

imma upvote you just for having something original to talk about for a change.

Honestly, I think that item 3091 should be reworked. item 3124 is way better and its current PBE iteration is going to overlap with Wit's end purpose in game.

Hullabaloo9071 votes

Wits is super awesome when use on the right champs, mostly tanky AA based champs

Irelia Bot1 votes

It use to also be super awesome on some champs who do not have high amounts of magic damage in their kits.

hOrnn1 votes

wiits end is a good item if u already do good magic dmg, warwick,,, nauts w shield, teemo, kench etc, makes tanky too.

XIII Vanitas2 votes

It's ok on Warwick, but item 3153 gives him lifesteal, more mixed damage with his ult and a useful active when you need to chase someone. Nautilus isn't about doing damage and wants to have real tank stats. The same goes for TahmKench. Teemo does more damage with item 3115, since the AP scaling is also useful for his spells. If he wants more AS, he usually builds item 3085 for the waveclear, movespeed and on-hit damage to the other 2 targets.

Don't you see Wit's end problem? When looking at champions that have affinity with the item, you get a fighter, 2 tanks and 1 carry. Balancing the item correctly for all these different classes is really hard and ends up being the item itself subpar.

Wits End is defensive and Rageblade is offensive. Wits End has more overlap with Maw than it does with Rageblade.

XIII Vanitas1 votes

Wit's end isn't defensive enough. The stats it gives are laughable compared to items that give both MR and HP (like item 3102 or item 3065) or a shield that protects from magic damage item 3156.

Wit's End gives 65 MR, which is a very large amount (more than the new Spirit Visage will give, and the new Banshee Veil only has 300 health).

You are correct that all of those items are better, which is why two of them are getting nerfed next patch. Not the best points to raise for your argument.

Maw is straight up unbalanced, Riot is likely going to have to rework it again after the mage update.

XIII Vanitas1 votes

Even if Banshee gave only 200 HP, it would still be better than item 3091 that gives no HP. This is why tanks can't build it. Most of AP carries that have affinity with AS would rather have item 3115 to make use of their AP scalings. What's left? Who needs attack speed, MR and on-hit magic damage and MR shred? The answer is: only a fighter that has some sort of sustain to make up for the missing HP of Wit's end, that scales with AS but not crits and does on-hit magic damage or has magic damage spells while having very low AP scalings. Is there anyone that fits this description other than Warwick?

Wit's End can be used in the irelia vs Vlad matchup. But apart from that instance and ww its pretty unused.

Do yourself a favor and get a hexDrinker instead. It is cheaper builds into an overall better item then Wit's and is cheaper for a quick item to get to contend with vlad.

Yes this is basically the issue with Wit's, it is out shined in basically every situation by something else unless you can justify the MR stealing to the full extent.

you forgot shyvana and Udyr but yeah it is not in a good place.

And the people talking about how they like as it is it don't seem to be demonstrating it being effective at higher levels of play. Just an observation but when silvers and bronze come saying it is good and they build it all the time I am not equating that with it being an effective item overall.

XIII Vanitas1 votes

I've played my good share of Udyr and Shyvana jungle. On Udyr, if I wanted more AS (but generally I don't) I'd rather go for item 3115, since it has better synergies with item 1402, Phoenix stance and Turtle stance (giving me 20% cdr and making me more tanky while doing more damage). On Shyvana, I'd rather go item 3930 item 3748 and full tank after that, to make better use of the T.hydra passive and her innate ability that gives flat resistances.

THis is more a comment of who can actually use it to a within reason effect to perhaps justify buying it. Not about it being core on any of them.

Aatrox, and Udyr builds it as well. The item also synergizes well with Amumu's passive, and could function well on a support who needs AS like Braum.

item 3931 item 3146

XIII Vanitas1 votes

Almost nobody builds that on Kayle. People usually go item 3124 item 3115 item 3085 item 3158 item 3116 and item 3089 or item 3157. Sometimes they skip Runaan's aswell if they want some magic pen item 3135.

SpecterVonBaren1 votes

I wish they'd reduce some of its damage in exchange for making it more appealing to tanks. I really want a tank item that has attack speed for champs like Naut and Tahm.

Irelia Bot1 votes

I really want an item that is a good counter to enemies who rush a sunfire.

By all means if it did not have the MR shred on enemies make the cost too high it would still be the best item to counter a sunfire rush.

SpecterVonBaren1 votes

I'd rather the flat damage go down by 20 and then give it some HP in its build path.

Just wondering, were you were playing in season 2 and saw how effective it could be?

Nah, I started playing about a month before Vel'Koz was released, so still fairly early into season 4.

What about stinger + negatron?

issue is that recuve now has on hit damage so that seems like the better build option if it is to keep the 42 40 on hit magic damage.

What I thought: "Oh I'm sure it's cause they would have to increase the MR on item 3091 to balance it and they like the MR where it's at." Looks at items; sees the MR on item 3091 is the same as item 1057

.--. wtf rito?
