Kennen shouldnt be going all in till enemys are below 50% anyway because of the gaps in his kit after hes burned his energy down.
Hes not one of those 100-0 champs. Hes a poke / CC till you get your opening in their gameplay, then cut them down. Too many people are trying to make these season 2 and season 3 plays not realizing how much league has changed
is still a very early item rush and should always be your first or second item (depending on the matchup) Usually for me, I'll get Zhonyas if I'm up against an AD champion or get
if I'm facing an AP champion, but either way I'll get those 2 items as my first 2 items. In some cases if you are facing a very tanky opponent that doesn't have as much damage threat, I could see you going for
into Zhonyas to help fight their MR.
Also he can easily 100-0 people...sure not tanks but you shouldn't be worried about them as Kennen. He doesn't need to wait until the enemy is low or need to poke before going in, the only thing he needs is some one with a decent initiation. Kennen's ultimate isn't as good as a starting initiation as some might think, it's usually a good follow-up initiation and that is why it's strong.
on topic tip:
Also as Kennen you should always Max W first. No matter what build/style (AP, or AD Kennen) or whatever, it's generally best to max W since it makes your mid game team fighting very strong.
