Stop complaining about Autofill!
We need autofill to support both Solo/Duo and Flex Queue.
Queue times would increase not by 2-3 minutes. They would increase by 20-30 minutes. After diamond I would expect a minimum 30 minute wait for a game.
If you want to test how long it takes to find a non-autofill game in your region+elo, simply reset your queue timer after it passes around 2 minutes. This will guarentee that your placed in one of your selected roles and that you avoid being autofilled. In plat 2 oce, my wait ranges from 4 minutes all the way to 40 minutes, averaging around 20 minutes (you can math how many times that means restarting the queue search).
The Boards may claim that "majority of people prefer longer queue times for game quality" but this is a difficult presumption. There can be as many (if not more) people that prefer the shorter queues, only these voices would not be heard untill autofill was hypothetically removed and queue times increased.
What players should be complaining about is the boards inability to play multiple roles. Understanding how to play all roles well makes you a better player not just because you win more autofill games, but because it makes you better in your primary role.
Before s6 all ranked games were autofilled via pick order. We should all learn to play at least 1 champion in each role to better the quality of matches. This would result in less dodges, less tilting, and most importantly, less shitty supports.
