Will Jax ever get any meaningful help? Or is he one of those champions slated for rework much later

Let's be honest, Jax is trash. Jax has been trash for a long time excluding the devourer meta and even then, despite his absolutely disgusting synergy with it, he wasn't even one of the worse offenders because he sucks. His scaling is awkward, his auto attack animation and W animation are still amongst the worst in the game for a champion that lives and dies by the auto attack. There's no match up where I think to myself "Jax would be really good here" because there's about a million other picks I could think of that would be better. Like my sock for example, or Fiora because Fiora outclasses every light fighter just by existing.

Can Jax get something? Or can we have it acknowledged that Jax will eventually get a change that allows him to be strong for once? Thanks.

Not according to this and Riot has been on record saying OP.gg is the closest thing out there to their stats. And Jax is constantly sitting right below 50% winrate and for a champion with such a low pick rate, that's especially bad.

For me he has 56% win rate jungle and almost 52% top there lel, in Korea where the based gods are he has over 50% win rate in both roles too oo

Jax is in the same class than xin and some other champs

won't be buffed because of low elo won't be reworked to be harder to play because according to ghostcrawler those champs lose their popularity

Jax isn't supposed to have good matchups because he's Jax. And according to high level success, Jax is in the top 20% of champions in Solo Q, which is higher than Lee, the boards eternal hatechild. The stats don't support the idea that Jax is weak; the best Jax players are doing very well for themselves and that's all that matters.

The stats do not and haven't supported the idea that Jax is trash for a while. He's a bit underwhelming top, but he's doing fairly well as a jungler, and it's statistically been his better role for a while now.

Idk how are you playing jax and why would you say he's trash, but every jax I saw destroyed everything, and he deals 2 types of dmg that buttfucks you. Voyboy also plays him and he always destroys. You can go different builds on him and they all work. So, I wouldn't say he's trash at all, far from it.

I disagree; if Jax doesn't get ahead early in that lane, it gets out of hand really quickly.

That lane is typically a "first kill auto wins lane" type of lane and nasus has a natural power spike at 3 items that is absolutely the most powerful spike at 3 items in the entire game. Jax essentially only had a minor advantage in early lane and is at a significant disadvantage until very late game when he reaches hyper carry item power spike thresh holds. In a snowbally meta that shortens average game times considerably jax is actually at a huge disadvantage.

Jaxs E has a pretty lengthy cooldown and between FH/wither, Nasus cuts Jax's DPS down significantly. So Nasus will get in 2-3 Qs between Jaxs E cooldowns (depending on how much CDR he has), and between his extreme tankiness with his ult + his tanky build, he just ends up overpowering Jax.

You're underestimating Nasus's sustain in this equation. I've played Nasus for 5 years and Jax for the last 2 and I'm telling you it's a moderately difficult lane for the first few levels for Nasus until he gets tabi/sheen and sustains hard. Not to mention Jax can only trade when his E is up, once Nasus has a few points in Q, he can virtually trade every 3-4 seconds - and you will end up Qing Jax a bunch to establish lane pressure.

Ok so either he stuns me right away and loses damage, plus tanks a bunch of minions after he's popped his stun or he jumps on me, keeps his E going and I wither him and walk away. Yes, in both cases I take damage but nothing near being 100-0'd and because I wither him, he ends up doing less. And through all this, his aggro ends up pushing the wave under my tower and I'm perfectly happy being under tower early levels because that's when I'll outscale him and get my first item to deal with him. You're overstating his damage and understating nasus' durability with d-shield early + armor runes/scaling HP yellows.

It is interesting, since season 4 he has gotten 7 buffs, and Jax is still a tier 2 or a tier 3 champ. IMO his top game suffers the most, what if Grandmaster's Might had more impact? For instance you use the R active and it made Jax Maokai level tanky for 8 sec?

Don't rework him. I don't want Riot to screw up my favorite champ in a rework that leaves him weak or totally changed from old jax. He's not even close to a bad enough state right now to warrant a rework imo.
