What is the average CS for a mid laner

What's the average CS for a mid laner? My current goal is to get to 8 CS Per/M but that's looking to be pretty difficult. My last game i was playing Katarina i went 10/1/1 with 130 CS at 20 minutes(game ended) btw i got a fking A+ (curse you flyerbek) so imagine that it's my CS that's doing it cause 5.6 a min is awful CS.

A was lanning against an Azir btw(kept getting zoned)

Your goal is difficult precisely because of who you picked and your lane match-up.

Average for bronze is like 4-5 silver 6-7 gold 3'ish starts your 8+

But yeh champs like ziggs/morg will hit 180cs at 20 easy where as kat/akali/fizz will stuggle to get 140-150.

Also if you are fed cs'ing isn't your primary concern anyway. Roaming, counter jungling, pushing, and generally carrying your slack ass teammates is. :) Better to end at 20 than drag the game 40 minutes with 350 cs and quite possibly get outscaled.

your goal is

80 cs by 10minutes

then 90+ for every 10minutes after.

these are ideal numbers, and you can get more, but this is what you strive to do when you have nothing else to do on the map.

you can certainly have less than these numbers if the situation calls for it, ie team fights and skirmishes breaking out that you happen to be a part of.

even bjergsen finds himself with 130cs after 20minutes but the thing is he has kills, assists, and he was roaming on the map doing things.

Yeah that's what the coach said, i mean i'm fairly sure farming with Kat is very difficult in most match ups so maybe i shouldn't feel as bad, especially with my map presence but still it makes me feel bad XD

yup, kat in particular is tricky, just keep practicing and it will get better. its especially nasty when its melee vs ranged.

i play galio mid and i get away with it because hes bulky and his W helps out so much, but kat has nothing.

the map presence and stuff ur providing is great, I think the main problem here is that ur comparing an lcs player going against the best of the best to whatever elo ur in against insert obligatory shade at flex q mm at the moment

that's a hard match up and if ur aiming for good farm, solely for that purpose, id recommend playing a bit safer and just focusing on the cs and the map rather than the lane opponent

if ur trying to get an s, go kat top or something, less people play it, so if u do decent, theres a bigger chance that youll get a better rating

(incase ur wondering how the grade system works, it compares you to the average of that champ in that role. so playing velkoz support is much easier to get an s on than velkoz mid)

Just try to out farm everyone else. That should be your goal.

If you roam rarely or never aim for 100 cs at 15 minutes

If you roam a lot you can go with less

Also its fine to not stress about CS if you're getting camped really hard

koreansmurf87511 votes

isn't it 100 per 10 if ur on top of things?

Hrd2H1t1 votes

100 cs at 10 minutes is near the maximum, but that implies that you almost never try to trade, take turrets, help other lanes, etc

FIZZ : 10 MINUTES : 20 20 MINUTES : 50

80 at 10

180 at 20

230 by 30 (280 if you're a split pusher)

These are my personal goals.

Seriously though, as long as you're beating your laner in cs, don't stress the actual number too much.

I can consistently hit 170-180 at 20 with fizz, but that means NOTHING if my enemy laner has 210 at 20. He's still doing better than me and ahead of me, and will consequently have a larger impact on the game.

I prefer to think of it as how much cs I want to be over my enemy at certain times:

20 at 10

45 at 20

75 at 30 (I play mostly top laners who excel in split pushing)
