@Riot: Can You Implement A System To Prevent First Time Playing Champs In Ranked?
Please introduce a system that forces you to have at least played a certain number of games before you can use them in Ranked.
It actually happens quite often, someone is 0/10 or 1/20 and when you call them on it its always "Sorry first time as this champ". Then you look at their Match History and they weren't lying, they also happen to be on a lose streak where they feed miserably. Im sick of losing LP because someone is on tilt and is picking random champions. Its bad enough when people are just bad and feeding, but when they are purposely being bad and feeding, it is super aggravating. This is a fixable issue though with a simple mechanic to prevent someone from picking a champion for the first time in Ranked.
EDIT: Just to be clear you wouldn't need to re-play all your champions... it would automatically look at your match history and games played and base it off of that. New players will build up their champion pool by the time they are 30 and ready for ranked so it doesn't effect them either. The only people this would effect negatively is Smurfs, but honestly their opinion on this matter shouldn't count.
To break it down further, I was thinking along the lines of:
- Bronze needs mastery level 3 to play a champion in Ranked, and you need at least 3 champions at this Mastery level.
- Silver needs Mastery level 2 to play a champion in Ranked, and you need at least 3 champions at this Mastery level.
- Gold needs Mastery level 1 to play a champion in Ranked, and you need at least 3 champions at this Mastery level.
- Platinum and above have no Mastery requirement and only require the minimum amount of champions to play Ranked.
Obviously the requirements can be tweaked or changed so hopefully you guys can tell me what you think. If you disagree please give me a real reason this is a bad idea, no one has given me a real reason.
