Hey Meddler, For champions like Nocturne, I hope he's reworked into a sticky fighter

I really love his kit but honestly his base defensive stats are complete garbage and his damage falls off like a rock because after he ults to you, he's so easy to peel/kite. He was likely designed to function as an assassin but with a spell like his ultimate, I don't think nocturne can ever be a healthy assassin.

I really hope you guys push him in the direction of a single target focused bruiser/fighter that has insane sticking power, decent defense steroids and moderate damage. I believe this allows you to keep his ult in tact, which is his identity as a champion.

I would also give his ult an initial fear, nothing terribly long but long enough to give him the ability to stick to a target so they can't simply flash once he ults onto them and be safe.

I don't think Nocturnes kit is good, I think it's actually shit. And I understand why. I hope you guys consider this because he's so much fucking fun to play.

Embrace the darkness fucklords.

He just can't seem to keep up anymore with the new champions that have been getting released.

Damage being out of control makes things even worse because he can't deal enough damage if he doesn't build straight damage, but he can't survive if he doesn't build tanky.

If Nocturne doesn't get ahead early, or get his teammates ahead, he basically loses the match.

What I loved about Noct in the past was how sticky he felt, despite having very little overall CC.

If he got reworked, I'd want him to retain something like his Q, for the most part. Its what enables his fighter builds, and its what makes Nocturne fun in the first place. Fear and darkness should definitely be aspects to keep in his kit somewhere. His ult is iconic, and would be missed if removed, but they could probably incorporate it into a mechanic related to his Q as a more common, shorter range gapcloser instead.

His W being replaced by Malz's (retaining the attackspeed passive, increased if popped), instead of an active spellshield, would probably let him be a successful assassin with his current kit, but health would likely be a large issue if that's the direction he would go.

He's still relatively sticky and while the mobility creep has hurt him, he can still be really punishing to immobile champions. His biggest issue is his shit stats defensively, he dies so fast. Half the time I use his ult for vision denial and zoning because going in means certain death. And that's really underwhelming for a character like nocturne.

Yeah, he's extremely underwhelming if he's not insanely far ahead.

I'd still like to modify his current ult into a base ability (maybe even just a 2nd Q activation), affecting targets he hits with Q, being able to quickly reappear/move to anywhere on a trail that he has vision of. This basically allows his entire kit to retain what makes him iconic/unique while having room to change his passive, W, E and R entirely.

Don't think it'd be OP because he wouldn't instantly affect all targets with near-sight, it'd be a pretty slow projectile, and Q doesn't exactly offer much relative time to work with if he's not building straight damage. Oh, and it wouldn't be a massive range gapcloser ANYWHERE you have vision of an enemy champion, making damage builds a bit healthier when he's strong.

Obviously, there'd probably be a lock-out or CD on the movement.

The only thing bad about noc's kit is his passive, its pretty useless for anything but jungling and wave clear.

If they gave him a passive thats like every 2nd spell, the next spell fears the target (this way you could ulti, Q, and you'd fear on E, and then when that fear ends the fear of E procs extending it.)

I can't really say nocturne is terrible or broken the way he is. He's an unexpected nightmare that comes out of the shadows with no warning to kill his target, and him ulting out of the jungle to burst somebody while they have no vision is indeed staying true to his theme.

If you're going item 1400, the ult+auto+Q is usually enough to kill a squishy target, especially if you're fed which isn't hard with his just randomly show up playstyle to kill somebody low or alone.

I think he's in that good position of being able to easily get kills without trying, but the moment teamfighting breaks loose he falls off and has to get back line and get blown up, which is perfectly balanced considering how easy he can get backline and instantly blow somebody up.

The only thing I hate about noc is his generally useless early game. Wish he had more of a presence so he can get snowballing sooner.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think nocturne is terrible right now. But his kit is basic and garbage outside of his ult. I really hate his scaling. Shit early, God mid, shit late. I would much rather see him have a better line of scaling than this but really, with his current kit, I feel like that's hard to do because buff the wrong thing and bam, assassin nocturne is a thing and 100-0's any squishy at any point in the game.

Yea he does feel like an old incredible simple champ like pre-rework taric. Just got that outdated feel.

He's okay, though I think he's a shit champion in general. But if I made it seem like I felt he was weak, that's not my point. He's decent right now, I would just prefer a better kit on him.

The only spot that makes him fee llike a shit champion to most people is his team fighting. People tend to build him with too much offense and not enough defense and then don't realize how he can be utilized in a team f ight so they just suicide the backline with him. His fear is actually amazing peel for an ADC. If played right you can peel people off your ADC and then ult after the people running away for a nice clean up.

The only thing I think on his kit that needs rework is his Fear. The tether duration before it kicks in is just ridiculously too long and too easy to escape from. His kit takes more mechanic ability than people realize and juggling the fear tether with it all can be a pain in the ass at times. If you miss his Q you do no damage, if you spellshield the wrong ability you get blown up and if you lose your fear tether you can't provide any CC to the team fight; a whole lot can go wrong by making micro mistakes.

I like him.

He's very simple to play, clears kinda nice, ganks kinda nice, then ganks non mobiles very nice with ult.

What impresses me is how well he can chase even Kalista when she was meta if she doesn't have flash advantage and doesn't get assistance.

I wouldn't pick him everygame but I think at times he can work well. He's like a faster more peelable weaker Olaf but farther dive and marrrknesssssss.

I'd argue that the only thing Nocturne holds over Olaf is mana usage and his ultimate. Then there's the rare fear that actually goes off. Not that Olaf needs hard CC to do his job anyway.
