Of all the female hyper-scaling duelists, Riven's kit feels the most outdated

Camille Fiora Irelia Riven

These 4 champions are the reason I think I might never be able quit league. Despite all the balance issues surrounding the state of the game and a few name champions, Riot's newer reworks are still nonetheless incredible designs. Everything feels so fun and fulfilling to play.

Between these 4 ladies, Riven's kit is the hardest to master and also the riskiest. Sadly, it also feels the least rewarding to play regardless of how well you impact the game. What I wish is for Riot to modernise Riven's kit a bit.

I think it might have something to do with the utility each of the other three bring to the table. Even when behind, all three still have their ultimates to turn the game around. Riven's ultimate however, is simply a stat boost and therefore, a Riven that is behind is punished more severely.

I'd love for her kit to be more accessible and fluid for everyone at all ranks.

Riven is more of a 'flash on the back line and one shot them' kind of champ imo. Her burst damage outclasses all 3 of the others.

It doesn't really have anything to do with damage. A melee champion whose success is so dependent on a 5minute cooldown summoner (4min?) spell is just so risky and difficult to play, and really frustrating when you mess up. When it comes down to it, isn't that poor game design?

I'll give you this, riven has less of a fallback pattern for if it isn't smart to split push, but fiora is pretty much in that boat too (ult heal is not enough utility to make her that strong at teamfighting) the reason for this is neither of them have a long range gap closer. Why is this? because while these four champs are similar, they are not the same Fiora and Riven are skirmishers (like yasuo) who thrive in 1v1's or 2v2 w/ junglers but struggle in teamfights, whereas Camille and Irelia are divers who even though they can stuggle in teamfights they have a defined role of diving and killing/locking down the backline w/ their longer ranged gapclosers/cc.

lol good luck with that. She has a huge playerbase of dedicated mains who would create a shitstorm like you've never seen if she gets significantly changed.

Oh you have no idea. On the sub, if you mention changes, it isn't pretty most of the time because its hard to find any Riven mains that will admit that she has issues that need addressed. Now if you mention a rework.....it turns into a witch hunt.
