Where is all the Fiora hate coming from? It's completely illogical - Teemo is doing better atm.

  • Are you all having PTSD episodes of when she was a melee carry?
  • Did all of Gameplay unanimously decide it's tired of beating the Riven dead horse, and it's Fiora's turn to be a scapegoat?
  • Is it the pink highlights??

There's even guides everywhere on how to destroy her in lane [https://www.reddit.com/r/summonerschool/comments/48efd1/in_depth_how_to_shit_on_fiora_from_a_fiora_main/] and it's STILL not enough. It's hilarious that actual tanky champs are at the top of the charts for top laneNautilus Nasus PoppyRammus while mediocre win rate Fiora builds one Titanic Hydra and everyone freaks out about "Tank Fiora". You guys just need to come to terms with the fact that she's a Fighter now. She can't be popped like a balloon in 0.2 seconds anymore. She's going to be building a little bit of health too, and you may have to use a few brain cells to play against her. It's going to be okay, GP I promise. You don't have to call big brother Riot like you did with Riven, I think you can handle this

I just wish that people would make this distinction when they post. I hate playing against Fizz, Yasuo, and Leblanc but that doesn't necessarily make them 'omg op have to nerf now rito'.

More often than not people conflate their personal dislike of going up against a champion with that champion objectively overpowered, and sometimes its true but never to the amount that the complaining would have you believe.

My advice to all these people is that if you think that some champion is super over powered and freelo and whatever, just play them yourself and abuse it all you can. If you are right you will reap in the easy wins and if you are wrong you might learn something about that champion which makes them easier to go against, its a win win.

Two points:

  1. Winrate isn't a good indicator of balance, because every champion - yes, even the ones I absolutely despise - need some skill / practice to play competently, and if a champion is perceived as being powerful, a lot of people will jump on the bandwagon to play them without knowing how, deflating the win rate.
  2. A champion can still be toxic without having a high winrate. For example, if a champion hard-countes 40% of opponents so that they will always win those games, but will always lost to the other 60%, that champion would have a low winrate but be extremely toxic. (Obviously, that's a very hyperbolic example.)

  1. So Fiora is a champion that takes skill, practice, and experience to actually do well with, despite any sort of build, and doesn't do well when first-time Fioras hop on the bandwagon. This all rounds her out to a little less than 50% win rate. Interesting. If I didn't know any better, that sounds like a balanced champion.

  2. Getting frustrated because you were outplayed =/= toxic. AP Yi was toxic. Nidalee's endless nuke spears were toxic. Fiora dealing an extra ~100 true damage by using a Q, going into range, and popping a vital is not toxic. Mundo chucking cleavers does more damage.

Right... I'm sure her high Pick/Ban ratio in LCS/LCK/LPL etc. is just a coincidence.

Fiora and Darius have been flopping between 49-51% for a few patches now, but both of them get extreme amounts of QQ.

To be honest.. Riot literally designed darius's kit for penta kills.. hell he even got atleast 1 in the lcs

She has a waaay higher than 50% winrate in LCS due to her ability to splitpush and win small engagements.

She has a higher than 50% winrate in bronze+silver due to her dueling potential and ability to snowball after winning lane.

She just has a shitty winrate in gold+ solo queue, where teams are smart enough not to feed Fiora in lane, coordinated enough to teamfight, but not so coordinated they can actually splitpush.

It's a statistical quirk, not a reflection of her power as a champion.

But higher than 50% in bronze+silver? Now I know where are these threads are coming from, thanks. I think it's the vocal bronze+silver crowd on this board that still think of her as female Yi that is the statistical quirk.

Only in NA which is the worst region. And even now she is loosing more often. She doesn't have above a 50% win rate in any other region.

  1. Horrid to play against and watch. Getting outplayed by one doesnt even feel like it, just feels like you got screwed over by her BS. (think Fizz's version of outplay). Nobody deserves to play against this champion, nor does anybody want to.
  2. % Max health true damage.
  3. Her whole entire build is items that weren't made for her but she abuses anyways. item 3748 item 3053 item 3742 item 3071 item 3009item 3065. She loses nothing from building this and with this build she takes an entire team to kill her.
  4. A playerbase that is somehow just as toxic as she is. (most of them anyways).
  5. Her passive is overloaded as fuck. For hitting 1 mark she chunks you (not as much early game but its still alot), heals, and gets a movement boost.
  6. Her W can block summoner spells. No defending that.
  7. Her Ult gives out more %MHTD.

aaaaaaaaaaaaand now im triggered. It sucks because Fiora is actually really fun to play, but nobody should have to play against her because of how shitty it is to do so

  1. Shes not that bad to fight, you have to kite her.
  2. Its not like its free, she has to jump through hoops to get it. 3 Shes not the only one who abuses those broken ass items.
