Riot, can you give Kindred some AP scaling

Hi all

IMO, Kindred artwork is amazing. However, when I look at the champ, she looks like a marksman/mage, not just a marksman. I say this because she is a spiritual being that host two entities, Lamb and Wolf. They can't exist without each other. Everything about this champ points to magical damage. The only part of her that indicates phyical damage is the bow/marksman aspect.

I mean look at her ult, the ability to preserve life for both teams within an area of blessing. A Champ kit should fit the artwork/design of the champ and not just be a matter of balancing.

What you guys think?

But all of their damage is either shooting people or biting them. Just because they're spiritual creatures doesn't mean they can't get down and dirty with a physical weapon.

So, her ult's heal could have an AP scaling, maybe only for allies.

But they're never going to build AP, because their heal is not a viable thing to optimize. There are only maybe five champs in LoL who are equally viable with AP or AD; Shaco, Evelynn, Corki, Ezreal, and Kog'Maw. There are many, many champs with random AP or AD scalings in their kits; Viktor's Q has a 100% bonus AD ratio, Caitlyn's net has an 80% AP ratio, and so on. But they're never very viable built that way, because it's simply not as efficient. Kindred could have all the AP scaling on their ult that they could possibly want, and it wouldn't make a scrap of difference as to how they're going to be played.

But seriously. It'd have crazy synergy with item 3124 , and if a game is particularly close it might actually make a difference.

Oh, I know. I play the HECK out of Trap Queen Caitlyn in ARAM. But it's viable there because there's a very constrained area to put traps in, and even then, it's STILL probably worse than AD Cait.

Well, the point is, it shows the champ can be played differently. If kindred W had ap scaling, Kindred could cast it, let it attack her target for 8 seconds, while she focuses on staying away from danger and only going in to auto attack when target is near dead. She could even use Zhonyas after ult and let wolf kill her target while she is in stasis. A little creativity adds so much diversity.

Right, but there's no need to. Kindred is already a fairly unique champion, and they don't really need extra ratios, certainly not because they 'look magic-y'.

You know that MF's ult does magic damage that scales with her AD and physical damage that scales with her AP, right? Ziggs' bombs do magic damage, and Tristana's bombs do physical damage. I can keep going.

Azir Stabs you in the face with soldier spears, does magic damage.

Burns you alive, does magic damage.

MissFortune Bullets rain from the sky, does magic damage. Unless she shoots you with really big bullets that can magically bounce off enemies... those are physical.
