it doesn't seem to matter how well i do because 75-90% of the time i win my lane

whether or not i lose or win after that point only depends how many kills the rest of my team gave their team.

if they arn't fed... i can carry if they are fed .. i cant carry

how can i change the outcome of the game when I'm the constant and my teammates are the variables?

You have to set the pace of the game and be doing good enough in game that your team has confidence in your decisions. If the enemy team is making the moves you will lose. That's why people say win lane win game. Not necessarily because you are stronger although it helps. It's the fact that you decide when laning phase ends and they have to play catch up.

i cant communicate with my team unless i type to them which requires standing still. so i usally only have time to do it after i kill my opponent.. in teamfight there is zero coordination becuase there is zero communication. i can issue pings but that is about it. i don't have the time to stand still and type to them and although voice chat would be ideal im not going to add every random person i enter a game with to my skype.

and one of the games (the one with MasterYi and Shyvana on my team) we WERE communicating and all 3 of use did well.. but when bot lane decides to give them THIRTY free kills IT DOESN'T MATTER!!!!

we SAID don't feed and we can carry, we SAID stay close to turrent.. we TOLD THEM to just stay back.. but they DON'T LISTEN.

Turrets don't save lives, a soraka with a long sword can dive tanks in this meta. If they have time to get 30 kills with these extended death timers you aren't applying pressure If they kill someone and you don't reply with a kill or tower. They are the team pressuring and will win barring a throw. Not saying every game in winnable but I would bet 70% are.

bot lane feed them 11 kills by 9 min.. do u really expect me to take 11 towers in response at the 9 min mark? you maybe you in plat or diamond or something and u don't understand or have forgotten what bronze players are like.. maybe in your elo you can respond by taking a "taking a tower"

its not like my lane opponent leaves to gank them.. its that they KEEP running out and keep trying to 1v2 or 2v2 like complete idoits. even at 6 min thier adc had an 1.2 gold lead. over me... by ten min that was 2.4k gold lead over me by the 20 min mark it was a 4k gold lead.

you really dont comprehend how people feed in this elo. it dones't matter that your better then them if they have 4k gold over you and 2 of your players are making a point of increasing that lead every opportunity they get

Myozthirirn1 votes

if people die that many times in your elo, then get fed off them. Enemy team is just as good as yours. That enemy adc you are talking about was either lucky or better than you and luck doesnt last forever.

People hate typing too much. It's fine, it doesn't take long, at most it takes you 5 seconds to type two long sentences. Just type quickly.

No such thing as "talking too much"

Try curse You set up a call You get a link Copy paste link any teamates with curse can use it to join your call

Talk to them suring the game End call

It takes less than 5 seconds to start call and paste the link and just a couple more for any teamstes to join with it

Hi,

no offense but these 4 examples are not representative. It's just two games that you picked. In fact, you fed the last 9 games pretty hard, and lost them due to it.

Sure not all of those 9 games may have been your fault, but instead of really getting fed yourself, you gave the enemy more kills. You have to start searching for your own mistakes. You will never advance by blaming your team.

Just to give you a reminder of your last 9 games:

  1. 2/8/7 --> barely positive KDA , FEED YOU lost (maybe your team did as well, but it was YOU too)
  2. 3/7/7 -> barely positive KDA, would not straight up call it feed, but it was a bad game BY YOU
  3. 4/9/4 -> straight up FEED, **your fault **you lost that game, stop searching for excuses you were bad that game
  4. 2/6/6 -> barely positive KDA, again** YOU **did nothing really to win this game
  5. 6/8/12 -> still not a good KDA. 8 deaths is way too much. You did okay at max , maybe you did not deserve to lose this one, but neither did you deserver to win.
  6. 2/8/4 -> Ill make it short: FEED , YOU, yes YOU
  7. 3/10/8 -> See 6
  8. 7/11/13 --> below 2 KDA which is really bad. Eventhough you got some kills and assists YOU, fed horribly.
  9. 7/8/5 (The ziggs game you talked about) -> 8 Deaths is too much, you got some kills and some assists, Id say you may not deserved to lose this, but you also didnt deserve to win this.

Also looking at your last season:

  1. You stayed BELOW 2 avg. KDA on your mains, Nidalee and Reksai. You died 9,2 and 8.6 times on avg. respectively. This is way way too much and you seriously need to work on a lot of things if you want to improve. On Blitzcrank this season you are on 6.7 which is barely okay but you are going into the right direction. Think more about the play that you execute and you will improve.

Then: You hardly ward and you buy too few pinkwards. The list could go on but this is supposed to help you, not to make you feel bad.

Again, this is only meant to be advice. You can happily talk to me and ill go more into detail or a watch some games of yours to get you into silver. But first and foremost, you need to understand that its **NOT **your team thats holding you back in the long run.

Being in bronze you can only help yourself, and your attitude is a major factor in climbing the ladder.

OP...you should listen to this guy-he is trying to make you a better player. This is real advice on how to rise out of your elo. He even offered to take a better look at your games. Maybe, just maybe the problem isn't everyone else.

quit playing ziggs is a good starter.

Tyrone Lannister1 votes

Yea ziggs can only stall for so long

james1212342 votes

its not even stalling hes talking about making an impact on the games you arent going to do that with ziggs you are just going to be able to perform consistently well regardless of the outcome you just arent going to have the carry power unless you are much better than your elo.

SwiftKitten883 votes

i like playing ziggs because he is very good in teamfights with constant AOE damage with his low cooldown q, he has long range poke,he is easy to CS win, he is very good at blocking choke points with his E and spitting up thier team. he has an escape (his w).

the people in bronze who i play against are pretty bad. the only issue is when they get fed.

they dont know how to make good choices. if i block off a passage with my E half the time they walk over it anyways.

ive even gotten a tripple after i died becuase they chased my team through my E after i died.

i feel ziggs is a very good in low elo providing the team doesn't get insanely fed

james1212341 votes

play annie a better ziggs that you can control just without the range and with a stun with is much more valuable

I have heard a YouTuber say (not sure which one), that in 80% of your games, you don't have the most influence. He said that you should imagine it like 40-20-40. So 40% you win, no matter what you did. 20% you actually are the deciding factor. And 40% you lose, no matter how your lane went. It just is like that, and nothing anyone can ever do about it.

But as a tip, if you have an advantage in lane, try to take it to other lanes as well. Games where the midlaner starts roaming and surprise another lane tend to go really well (at my "skill" level at least). A roaming midlaner can be really helpful for the sidelanes.

Spamming pings in the game (take drake, take towers, don't engage etc) and snowbally champions (assassins, in particular) are what got me out of silver. It should work on bronze as well. The only mages I played were Vladimir and Swain . Don't rely on your teammates too much, you don't know them and they don't know you, so it's hard to actually work as a team decently, which is what champions like Ziggs need. EDIT: Also, no matter what you do, do NOT press enter. It will be tempting, but don't do it.

ScumbagZed1 votes

how to win in bronze/silver: play super snowball champs and pray to god you get ahead in the early game then you wreck face with your super fedness until you win. you cant rely on other people to do the job of carrying or performing in teamfights so you need to completely snowball the game yourself. only way to win

RowanEnd1 votes

In lower ELO's you have to be extra aggressive and not as safe as you would if you were in gold or higher.

Gulma1 votes

Just play the meta champs and you will win a lot more. Zed,lux, Twisted Fate for mid. Soraka for support. Top go Malph or Fiora, ADC if you can get go with Kog or Vayne. Jungle go with Gragas, Udyr, Yi , Rumble, etc

Went from Silver 1 to Gold 2 with Alistar Support. Can't get father unless I learn to play Soraka or stop playing support

You have a lower chance of having a "Feeder" on your team then the enemy team (Assuming your perfect and never feed, right!?!)

Also winning your lane means Jack-Shit, if you don't capitalize on it, roam to other lanes get them fed, push for objectives. Keep pushing the lead you had in lane. If you don't ending with a good "KDA" doesn't mean anything.

I can go 10/0/0 in mid, but if I do nothing besides just get kills it didn't do anything

That last game as well, their team didn't have a jungler? How did you not use that HUGE advantage? You could take multiple dragons, and get 5 by 30 minutes. You also have ZERO pressure from anywhere (This is bronze, people just stay in lane and do nothing).

...i was the one FACING the two people mid... AND i was winning. im sorry that the match replay donest show you that nasus had 300 stacks at 18 min and that bot lane fed.. i was yelling at our own jungler to stop ganking my lane and help top and bottom but he decided to tower dive mid and feed TF as well (who i could kill in a 2v1 even when he did get fed)

in all reality it was a 4v1 (or 4v2 if you consider the xerath so was so bad every time hear walking near me it was a free kill as him being on my team) EVERY one of my teammates sucked and although thier xearth probably ranked as the worst player i had ever seen in my life. thier nasus was good or at least so fed i couldn't stop him i was actually 1v3ing the rest of them ok XD.. but 400 stack nasus at 25 min pretty much ended it. i was actaully doing fine vs the other 3.. i could even stop the lucain from pushing enough tough he was smart even to stop every tie i got close to killing him.. it was the nasus that i couldn't stop that game. i had no way of killing him faster than he could bring down towers with 400 stacks and i couldn't get near to him without getting murdered.

if it had been another other top laner i MIGHT have been able to carry that game (only becuase xerath was horrid)

if you laning vs nasus you need to keep him to 100 stacks per 10 min.. soon as he starting joining the team i couldn't stop the 5 man push

Guy Fox Teemo1 votes

KDA doesn't mean anything, I'm sorry, but just because you can kill people easily on your doesn't mean you're good, nor that you contributed towards your team winning, if they could.

I played a couple of games as Akali, my team you know kind of realllllly sucked, because they were my nub friends. But ya know what? I got fed, roamed the map and just dominated the game myself. Before my team mates could feed. I just destroyed everything.

Obviously you won't be able to do this since even if you are better your current skill level, I very much doubt by much, if at all.

Side Note: Why aren't you roaming to kill Nasus? If your team mate is having a struggle and nasus is pushing. (Lower ELO generally does this A LOT) Go and Kill nasus so he doesn't get stacks, so he doesn't get fed, so he doesn't destroy your game.

Not every game is winnable, but if you really are better then where you're suppose to be you will climb. (A lot faster if you were good ;D )

Kal Vas Flam1 votes

I learned a long time ago winning your lane in low elo is almost meaningless. This is especially true now with the longer death timers. Someone on one of the teams will go full retard and throw the match - you just have to hope it's not your team.

LatetotheRace1 votes

Well you main support so of course you aren't going to be capable of carrying in most situations. That just comes with the territory, and is to be expected. The best thing you can probably do is find a partner or two (until they fix that) and use your combined skill to carry games.

Cressilia1 votes

Kills aren't a way of measuring, objectives wins games. I don't know how many games I've had where the enemy team was stomping us, but backed rather than pushed, leaving our remaining members to take free objectives.

SwiftKitten881 votes

@ uberpimp

i choose those 4 games as an example. becuase they are the best representation. of what my elo is like.

and to others saying im a support main... im actaully NOT it only looks like i am becuase i choose support as my secondary role for about 50 games and 46 of the games it have me support.. so i have sicne swapped it from jungle support to jungle mid.

as for the other factors.. YES some of the games i did lose lane. the one with the "quin" mid happened when someone from on your team decided to walk to thier base at lvl 1 giving quin a 400 gold lead b4 minions even got to lane.

people say kills arnt a way of measuring winning the game.. your right .. thier not. teamwork is.. well sufficient to say most of the time teamwork doesn't exist in this elo.

MANY of those games i have had players on my team with no runes and who are under level 30. obviously for ranked they have to be lvl 30 but it donest mean they need to buy runes or have any idea how to play the champion they are on.

another thing your really not taking into account is they they DO get fed is is VERY hard to maintain a positive kda becuase while in plat maybe players only get fed enough for a 1-2 k gold lead at 30 min... in bronze the people who feed can give upwards of 4k gold leads at 15 min. there is a point where skill difference cant make up for gold difference..

yes i had a few bad games in a row.. i posted the key example of the issues.

even they reksai game i was jungle it donest really show how i was there to get annie ahead in her lane... it doesn't show that i have her my FIRST blue buff and the next three it donest show that for the first 20 min jinx didnt have more than 3 kills

the nidalee game... it donest show i was carrying my team.... it donest show that i split push and took down 2 base turrents and 2 inhibs at the 28 min mark

it donest show that our own lux was toxic and decided to E baron when i was running past at 50 hp and executed me and then thier team got baron.

these are the things the match history doesn't show

what it does show was at 27 min they had 2 people doiung dragon and i jumped in stole dragon and killed those 2 we got a turret and an inhib

all you are looking at is my KDA at the end of the game, your not looking at my KDA thoughout the game..

maybe TWO of those games i played an actual role in us losing.

and like i said.. im not pretending to be gold or plat.. im silver.. i know im silver and i know i can climb out of bronze just like i did season 3,4,and 5.

what im saying is that whether or not i DO win those games for the most part is not decided on what i do but on how my teammates do. i am only 1/5h of my team. i may pick of the slack of bad players.. but there comes a point where i can only do so much to change the outcome of the game

uberpimp1 votes

You are correct that KDA does not tell all of the story. It was the only thing i could have a brief look at. And while I agree that KDA is not at all that important (especially on certain champs) it gives me an idea of how you play - namely: you go in when you should not, because otherwise your team could trade your death for objectives and you would win more games. If you die for an inhib/baron/1-2 turrets thats perfectly fine even if you maintain a bad KDA. But even then, as engage tank fe. you may have a few deaths more than average but you should get a lot of assists too which all count towards your KDA.

I don't want to extend this too much, you have two option: (and im not only speaking about reaching silver but possibly gold as well)

1.) You agree with me and accept that you need to improve at a lot of things (and mostly die less) - This means that you need to start thinking about why other people can get fed and you cant etc.

2.) You keep beliefing that you are better than your division. This means that you are either:

2a) Actually better, thus you will climb to silver. You probably have a bad streak of bad luck. BAD LUCK happens, you can lose 10 games due to bad luck. I lost 3 or 4 games on a silver 5 smurf in a row. It happens, some games cant be won, but you will climb if you truly belong higher. BUT once your are in silver the story repeats because people usually complain when they feel they have no impact on the game anymore, which happens when you reached your true elo.

2b) you ignore your mistakes and won't climb. You will stay in bronze or low silver for as long until you realize that you need to actively work on your play. (you may improve a little just from raw playing, but not too much)

Its perfectly fine if people only play for fun. However, if you want to improve you will reach a point at which you have to face your weaknesses and work on them. This may not always be fun but you see results pretty quickly.

it's not a matter for "being better makes you climb" the fact is the matching making system is HORRIBLE at putting teams together. the last game i had today i was mid and we had an AMAZING support.. but the fact is in this elo the game really isn't decided by skill.. its decided by luck... who draws the bad player.

http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2115505227/207008136?tab=overview

and who draws the OP champ

last game me and thresh were carrying.. now thresh got a double killand we had everyone on our team alive so i decided to split push. i took town 2 turents and an inhib and was halfway though killing another inhib before they sent 2 players at me and managed to kill me.

i had made the assumption that my team could win a 4v3 while defending base. well they couldn't.. we lost all 3 inhibs and although we stopped that push the super minions won the game for them.

now i could look at this as maybe i should have backed to help defend our base.

but i figured that in a 4v3 (us 4 them 3) and we are defending with turrets on our my team could have held them off. i guessed wrong and it cost us the game.

so maybe i made a bad choice. but if i was playing with teammates my skill lvl.. would that have been the wrong choice? shouldn't i be able to expect my team to defend a 3 man push with 4 players defending and with both nexus and 2 inhib turrets up.

they lost 2 players i decided to punish them for it.

but that doesn't always WORK in this elo. the things you take for granted in plat and diamond don't exist here. you CANT rely on your teammates to win a fight even IF they have an advantage, if your not there.

in all reality we should have won.. but because i made the choice to ASSUME my team could defend a 3 man push with 4 players we lost.

so is that my fault? idk, i could blame myself for making the choice not to back and help defend. or i can blame my team for not being able to defend a 3 man push when we have 4 players defending and turrets.

my point is: if this was plat, my team WOULD have been able to defend a 3 man push with 4 players and turrets.. do did i make the logical choice or not? you cant apply plat+ strategies to bronze games because you work under the assumption that the same things work in bronze as they do in plat. they DON'T work the same way. you CAN'T rely on your teammates to do thier job when when you give them an advantage.

if your jungling and you give your mid a 5 kill lead in lane... well guess what.. that doesn't mean he is going to keep the lead... he might go "hey i have a 5 kill lead i can be really aggressive" and then he makes stupid choices gives them shutdown gold and keep dying after that. you cant rely on your jungler to gank you when your push to your tower and the enemy has low HP and its an easy kill for the jungler.

the basic things you take for granted and the assumptions that all the high levels decisions are based around DON'T WORK in bronze.

i have FREQUENTLY done stupid thing i KNOW any reasonable player would punish me for in bronze because guess what.. thier STUPID and they DON'T punish me for them. so people make stupid choices because half the time they WORK in bronze.

because guess what.. if you DON'T make the choice to get the kill that you probably can get because you know thier bad, even though if they would good it would be a BAD decision. if you DON'T decide to kill them.. then your not goign to get ahead.. so your not going to carry the game.

so people MAKE bad decisions because they WORK.. and then when they DON'T work because they actually have a decent opponent they don't know how to make a GOOD decision.. they just think.. "oh well maybe it will work this time" and then 10 min later the enemy has a 9 kill lead.

this is what bronze is like. you don't win games by making good decisions.

you win games because you can get away with making bad decision and that gets you fed faster and gives you a higher chance of winning than if you made GOOD decisions and played it safe while they all get fed
