The turrets at champion spawn points can kill anything that can be targeted including Tryndamere while his ultimate is active?

I just learned this today during an ARAM match.

And no, it is not a bug. I did some research on it and those who are informed posted their knowledge about it some years ago.

So..it's an old fact, but one I did not know.

I don't know how many other people know this. Is it common knowledge or not?

Yeah it's pretty common knowledge I think.

The spawn zone turrets actually have their own damage type, called "pure damage"

They used to have true damage or something, but issues popped up and forced them to make a unique damage type for it that would ignore all forms of invincibility.

for a while smite was coded wrong and was doing pure dmg instead of true dmg and was killing tryndamere in his ult.
