I would say that the biggest issue is getting stuck with troll adc, and still being able to 'do something' as a support.

So perhaps 'support only' items that only supports have access to like jungler.

Here's the thing about Jungler items, they're only locked to Smite users, a summoner spell. So how do you plan on there support items on being locked to them? Not every support goes Exhaust (at least in the LCS). The "Support" class is going to get removed once the Class and Subclass updates happen. Locking them to certain champions? What about the off meta but still viable supports (Maokai comes to mind)?

They could make a support summoner spell. I wouldnt mind not seeing 5 players with flash all the time outside a few niche playstyles.

I love support. Not everyone likes being in the limelight and getting pentas as Yasuo, Zed, or Vayne or any of these flashy champs. For instance, I love sitting back and being able to CC someone into oblivion while my team rends them or warding and pinging to save someone's life. It's satisfying, and consistently so. Support is fine, just needs some itemization tweaks, but if you don't like it, don't play it.
