Galio has been bad for a single patch, lets give him an extra 80% ap ratio on his combo

Since you know, hes a tank and those are never supposed to be weak.

Fighters have been in a gutter for years? Lets remove fervor from the game and compensate them by giving them 5 damage buffs on their spells, we are totally not biased - balance team

To be fair, Galio is an Ap fighter, not a tank. These buffs do not even impact his tank performance, at all.

I'm not a fan of these changes myself but you're just using faulty argumentation and I always read your threads in an angry, somewhat pissy voice. But that's just me.

To be fair, Galio is an Ap fighter, not a tank.

Actually I think it wouldn't be crazy to say that he was design to be a hybrid of both.

His passif and e feel like something out of a fighter.

But his w and ult are like a spell of a Warden, someone who wants to protect.

Don't you think it's very difficult to do an ap fighter when half your kit is designed to be a protector of some kind?

His kit screams TANK. An AP fighter with a tanks kit. I bet people will love getting stunlock nuked by galio in the future. Especially toplane will be so fun to play against him. Either he sits back and Q waveclears for days unless they finally gut this ability OR you try to engage him into a stunlock and lose the trade by default OR he engages into stunlock and you lose the trade by default.

Personally I agree with you, but your stunlock argument reminds me of Riven.

His kit screams tank because thats what riot designed him as in his rework but he was originally a fighter/ mage. riot destroyed his old play style and idk why they are experimenting with giving him his old play style back riot usually doesnt go back on descisions and especially not this fast. Maybe because they just reworked him and his popularity is dropping they trying to salvage some of what he used to be since defense is so bad now not just adcs can do damage.

He's not a tank anymore, he has the kit of a tank plus poke with his q. Level 1 he has 24 armor right now, he's squishier than adcs and teensy bit squishier than teemo. They need to bring back his tank identity, the can take his damage i dont care but let me be a tank again.

I don't know but, Galio's abilities scale with a lot of AP. The problem is somewhere in the kit, probably the ult isn't as impactful as it should be. The only difference in the old Galio is that his abilities have more initial base damage compared to the new Galio. However, the new Galio scales into ap better than the old Galio. They are literally almost the same in power but aspects were changed to make Galio more of a team fighter and tank. For example, if they boosted q to 100% ap scaling or so, you could just use that to harrass early game, mid game, and late game. Literally killing everything you poke with an intial damage (if 1000 ap was built) of 1170 lol. If you add in the damage over time from tornados 670+30% of the target's maximum hp, you literally got a broken Galio and you don't even have to build tank. You literally would be chunking tanks down due to the high target maximum hp damage every 3 seconds with max cdr. The only way to buff Galio early game with out actually making him broken is by putting base damage on each skills. Dividing 80% ap ratios among the combo is too strong.

He's not a tank. He's an AP bruiser like he's always been.

he was an ap bruiser but riot reworked him into a tank then he lost popularity so they tried to get back what little he had by making him and ap bruiser

Colossal Smash (Passive) AP ratio lowered from 70% to 50%.

That's taking 40% ratio of his all-in out of the equation and adding POTENTIALLY 60% ratio into it, BUT like 90% of the time as AP galio you snapcasted the W because you are squishy as hell and can't afford to channel it and you only needed to snapcast to get the passive reset and guarantee your tornadoes hit.

I mean, this kinda change feels like bringing back the Old Galio, but let's take this into perspective.

This change mainly benefits a Tankier AP Galio build due to the fact that he can now build some damage, and then some protections, while having the damage spread about in his kit for him to be able to function almost similar to old Galio, ya know like his old Ult, just the damage is more upfront. Could possibly be lowered, but we'll see.

I'm all for the Riven buffs, I'll take what I can get but it just doesn't seem like they understand why bruiser Riven is gutter trash if they think those broken wings changes fix anything lol
