Miraweave1 votesWell in fairness, the issue is mainly that you can't really build QSS on a mage just like you can't really build Hourglass on an ADC.
That said, Hourglass isn't even really counterplay to Veigar's ult since if he's not stupid he'll anticipate that you're going to use Hourglass and he'll save his E and W, so you'll be stunned and hit by a WQ immediately upon coming out of Hourglass, which will usually be enough to kill you.
