Can we look at updating "late game" champions to fit into the current meta?
Now i'm sure there are a lot of champions that are currently suffering under this issue, but i'm going to talk about it through the lens of a
player. The speed at which games are progressing is making it harder and harder, if not out right impossible, to play a champion that traditionally is "late game". This often takes the form of champions that require multiple items to offset built in "weaknesses" of their respective kits. Now for some champions this is a hurdle but not one so large they can't clear it, but when your power is gated by items and you are a support.... that hurdle just got a whole lot higher and harder to deal with.
For someone like Sona, this problem is insanely hard to deal with. You are a squishy, slow target with no mobility spells and no way to defend yourself (or your teammates) if an enemy engages. You need 2-3 items to max out your CDR, but even then it often feels like you need the level 2 passive bonus of your ultimate before you can cast spells fast enough to really effect a fight. This brings us to another built in weakness of Sona that is usually "fixed" by purchasing item(s), you have to spam your spells since they have VERY limited power as single cast abilities... all that spamming means you are going to burn through your mana pool VERY quickly, and a support that is OOM is nothing more then a liability. So congrats for some reason the game hasn't ended by this point, sadly if you didn't ALSO purchase some AP items your spells will still have a very limited effect, since Sona's basic spell have low base numbers but moderate scaling.
rework, or the entire ADC meta thing that went on forever.
Just fix the game so they can be viable in a healthy way.
