Now that Zilean has a massive AOE stun, what will become of support Annie? Zilean uses far less resources at a much safer distance then Annie to pull off relatively the same thing. Also, he has a full blown revive, something Annie couldn't do. Yes, early in the laning phase, Annie would be better, due to the lack of cooldown reduction, but come around mid or late game, all Zilean has to do is throw a bomb on an allied initiator, then throw another bomb on them when they do. Annie needs a flash and her ult to do this.

I guess, all I have to say is that Annie, you have served us well. But, unfortunately, it is time (no pun intended) for a new challenger to step up to the plate.

Annie will still be a strong support. Zilean hasn't been used as a support very much, but these buffs to him IMO will greatly strengthen his support role which is fantastic. Even though they nerfed some of his cooldowns and damage, he could still make a good midlaner. But annie is perfectly fine. She has a cheap way of building her stun, while zilean can easily lose 3/4 of his mana trying to perform the stun.

Early in the game, and mostly in the laning phase. Remember, I stated that early on Annie will still be better. But later in the game, Zilean will outclass her in every way.

I haven't seen much gameplay of him (outside of just a demo of his skills) but his new Q raises some questions, does its travel time increase depending on how far Zilean is from the target location?

Bear in mind Zilean also has to attach two bombs to the same target to get the stun (which is simple in a teamfight, but may not be so easy in lane if the enemy isn't already affected by cc.

Does the bomb also stun the person its attached to, or just surrounding enemies (I've tried watching multiple videos but its still pretty unclear)?

Except that Annie has instant cast stuns with zero travel time, a ridiculous level 6 power spike, crazy strong point and click nukes for lane, and 625 auto attack range.

So no, she isn't going anywhere.
