Protobelt failed to address mobility creep against immobile mages....

instead, all it did was add more mobility to champs that were already mobile. The actual dash is pitiful and the main function of the active is to stick to target and add more burst damage.

The item doesn't appeal to immobile champs. It has low AP, and the active is kinda hard to use if you are not in melee range.

We need a real solution for immobile mages that can't be abused by mobile ones. sorta like how some items are only ranged or melee.

Riot's response to burst damage, throw more damage at it. Riot's response to mobility creep, throw more mobility at it. Riot's response to rework dissatisfaction, throw more reworks at it. (can we just start calling them "replacements" instead of reworks?)

I'm starting to notice a pattern...

Damn it riot, why do mages have so much sustain? why are defensive stats so useful? And why is there so much use of CCs like grounded and silence? As the only forms of CC which are more effective against mobile champions than immobile champions.

It was never really intended to be a mobility solution for immobile mages. That's one of the reasons it doesn't go through walls.

Sejuani wasn't intended to be able to go through walls after the tank update but they changed that now didnt they..

What?

Her ability has always been able to jump across walls. I'd like to see some kind of Rioter post saying what you claim

She was in the tank update video ...which was even linked to from the league client..in that video they demonstrated how sejuani`s gap closer doesn't go through walls "because shes a tank".

Then they changed it to where she could.....

bolt damage changed from 75150 + 25%AP to 100200 + 30%AP

successive bolts doesn't deal damage but still get blocked (so the damage if used in a malee range is actually nerfed)

AP : 60 80

cost : 2500 g 2800 g

did it

Immobile Annie made good use of protobelt last I checked

Immobile mage player here. The item was never intended to be used on immobile mages and give them a free dash, it was intended for mages that want to get close to an enemy to burst them.
