You know what I liked about the old HUD?
Everything had it's place.
How's my team doing? Check the left side of the screen How's the score? Top right How is my champion doing personally? Bottom left Let's check the map. Bottom right Where can I check my items? Why, of course they're right next to my champion stats How long until my actives are off cooldown? Right above abilities, after all, both are activated effects to an extent How long until objectives and enemy team members are up? Hit tab
The new HUD is an absolute clusterfuck. Map? Bottom Right. Items? Bottom right. Team? Bottom Right. Recall button (not like anyone uses it though)? Bottom right. Personal score? Bottom right. Honestly, this was the biggest peeve. I didn't even realize I was doing good because it seemed out of the way to check the score. Combat stats? I dunno lol. Good luck with seeing that, dickhead. Seriously, normally I can check how much AP/AD whenever, which a quick easy glance. It's such a hassle now that one time I checked and had less than 400 AP, next time I checked I had nearly 1000
It seems like Riot just shoved everything possible into the bottom right. And your ping isn't even shown unless you Ctrl + F. I kinda feel like that should be default. And it seems like Riot tried to hide some things. Seriously, you shouldn't need to go out of your way to check how much fucking movespeed you have. I shouldn't have to take a solid 5 seconds to realize I have no wards in my inventory. I didn't even realize I had my sweeper half the time because it's just blended in off to the side like it isn't even an item. I shouldn't just realize 30 minutes in that I'm 5/0. The entire left part of the screen has nothing at all, and yet the bottom right has 74 different things.
