With Adaptive Scaling coming out, will we see Adaptive versions of Keystones?

For instance, this way we can better balance keystones to favor their user. For instance, a champion with more AD could forgo the AP ratio on Thunderlords and Deathfire for the AD ratio only and cause them to deal physical as opposed to magic and vice versa for AP champions.

The ones that really seem to have promise though would be Adaptive AP versions of Fervor of Battle and Warlords Bloodlust.

An Adaptive Fervor of Battle would allow sustained damage mages to gain power as a fight goes on, synergizing with Rabadons and maybe making it worth purchasing again.

And an Adaptive Warlords would give mages the option for an occasional burst heal vs champions which is something that hasn't been a thing for awhile now and I could see a few that could definitely make use of it (At the same time I imagine abuse cases like Akali and Vlad).

Is this something we'll see in the new Runes?

I was going to say an AP Warlords would be broken on Akali and Vlad especially, but it looks like you covered all your bases with this one XD

the problem here being vlad and akali as champions, sadly

I think it's definitely something we'll see in the new runes when appropriate.

I don't think the keystones you mentioned are all going to be lifted straight into the new system, though. For instance, I think Berzerk is supposed to be the replacement for Fervor of Battle, but it legit just raises attack speed in the version they showed so far. So there's no need for adaptive on it in the first place.

In cases where it makes sense, though, I expect they'll take full advantage of it.

I don't think new TLD or DFT should interact with Lethality.

How does adaptive scaling work, because it sounds like champs can't build "off" now as things automatically adjust their scaling to the "correct stat for the champ" or something like that.

So if I want to play AP on a primarily AD character and vice versa, am I just fucked?

So far it's only been announced for runes, no announced plans to do the same for items and whatnot.

Basically if you have more AD than AP then a Rune which says "Adaptive: Grants 5 AD or AP" would grant you 5 AD and not 5 AP and vice versa for when you have more AP.
